arcade shooter focus on character gameplay like arcade racers its gameplay is boosted to have fun as a focus an area shooter relies on the map your character is in and is typically balanced with competition as a focus
these definitions have alot of breathing room and are best applied to individual games id say titanfall 2 is an arcade shooter

The core gameplay did not drastically change in between the December 2014 beta and October 2015 retail. Idk what kind of Mandela Effect youâre experiencing. Spartan abilities, movement, etc was nigh unchanged and the only notable thing that comes to mind is the victory animation showcasing the winning team and team colors being brightened because Blue team got complaints of blending in too well

Graphics and sounds was down graded

sholder charge changed to only 1 shot on a back hit
Ground pounds charge time was increase and damage/range was halfed
Sprint went from 2x to 1.5x
Slide changed to have less boost
Glide time was also halfed

BR changed to do less damage and fire slower
Pistol went from 200rpm to 140rpm
Dmr less range
Assult rifle less body damage
SMG halfed health damage
Sniper and shotgun aim assist and handling nerf

Opinion: the only good changes I liked was the sheild sounds being made lower and quiter and the flinch being toned down other then that you can clearly see this have is watered down

After reading all of your suggested changes, all I have to say isâŚyouâre clearly in the wrong franchise. A large amount of your suggestions sound like mechanics that already exist in other franchises (almost all of your ability changes were clearly ripped straight from Destiny 2 and CoD), and the weapon tuning suggestions would ruin the game as it would turn it into practically a carbon copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare in terms of ttks and mechanical issues, which is not all what Halo is supposed to be.
Also, youâve repeatedly used the rather weak defense of bringing up obscure details from Halo 5âs beta that no one is going to remember unless they ONLY played at beta and then NEVER played the game again afterwards. A better defense would be actually explaining the logic behind your points rather than looking like a childish moron who canât take constructive criticism properly.
You also use RTS games as an example in a debate regarding ARENA FPSâs. You might as well start bringing Starcraft into the conversation with that type of logic.

You just ruined your own argument. To put in simple terms so you can comprehend, the reason the beta was a completely different game was because it was clearly LESS REFINED. Any player with common sense can deduce that. The beta had a ton of problems, hence the terrible launch of the game, and 343 worked those problems out over the few years following the betaâs release.
Halo has always had a very specific and VERY SUCCESSFUL identity as a First Person Arena shooter. Anytime it has differed from that identity it has had a significant reduction in player popularity (Halo Wars 2 is a great example of why changing the identity doesnât work in the long run).
You said you wanted to increase weapon handling and ttk scaling, which would by all logical accounts bring it closer to CoD ttks, not farther away (canât do basic math huh?).
You started with the personal attacks towards another guy so thanks for also clarifying to everyone just how much of a hypocrite you truly are.
Additionally, Halo 5 MP is a different beast to Halo 3, so thereâs no shadow outside of the obvious factor that the campaign was awful (too late to change that).
