Guys wouldn’t it be so cool to have portals that like open every 5 min then if you go in them they take you to different multiplayer maps! Like if you are playing a desert map then a portal opens then all of a sudden you are in a jungle map like Valhalla! Idk just an Idea… Also got an idea about a … Black hole gun…

I’m confused by this. If we are talking about Arena, hell no. That should stay competitive 4v4 on one map, teleporting to another would completely muck up map control and game flow. In terms of WZ, that could be a good idea but the gamemode would need to have a lot more players per match, and the xbox one would blow up trying to handle that level of chaos.
Come to think of it, 343i hasn’t had teleporters on big maps in any of their games.

what we do in video games was thought completely impossible just 10 years ago…
Wow I actually forgot about portals since 343 never ever uses them. I actually really miss portals. It always gave you a sense of urgency to move past them fast because of the unknown, but it was so fun to be able to use them to flank enemies and sneak up on them.
To your idea, OP, no, there would be no possible way to balance a portal to a separate map and it really doesn’t make any sense to do something like that anyway. But they should absolutely add some portals to different parts of maps in the future like the old days.

Maybe in 10 years that will be possible.
I mean, it’s already possible. Not only that, it’s actually pretty straightforward as well.
Combine two maps into one map file and have portals that instantaneously lead between them (basically the same principle as Chiron TL34 and its numerous rooms connected by portals).
Or have portals that send someone to a different server running a different map after some loading time. Several minecraft megaservers do this.
It’s just…like…why? What point would this idea serve?
