I am so sick and tired of coming back to Halo 5 hoping that maybe after weeks of absence 343i would have done even a little to fix the server issues but no, if anything they are just getting worse. Every time I play warzone I lose connection halfway through the match and get kicked. In arena the issues don’t seem to be as numerous but that is because I can rarely even join any servers so at least I don’t have to worry about wasting my time there. Another issue is the constant req pack errors. I can’t even count the number of times where if I don’t get disconnected from the god awful servers I don’t get my req points because that system is broken. I really want to enjoy this game but the terrible servers and numerous other system errors make this the worst Halo experience I have had. As bad as Halo 4’s multiplayer was, at least I could played game.
Sidenote: I have checked my NAT type I have changed connections, rebooted routers, and notyhing changes. I can connect to other games with no issue.
It’s you. Not the servers, sorry.
Do you live in Australia or something? Because I haven’t lost connection once in over two weeks. The servers are so smooth it’s ridiculous. You are either running on a 3rd world ISP or something.
I was was able to play halo with a 30% packet loss and have wild fluctuations in my internet speed. So whatever your problem is its on your end most likely.
I have issues with this as well. I’ve gotten banned before for being disconected from the servers. The other night in social assault I was having an amazing game and got kicked, I wasn’t happy.

Where do you live? Have you gone to support forums? Seems like EU and asian region players are suffering since the region lock they put up behind the scenes. If you really want a change, go to support forums and support the ongoing threads.

Thanks man, I was looking for said forums but apparently I’m blind as a bat. I’ll make my way over to it.
I’ve gotten like 4 laggy games and like 3 time the servers just don’t want to work. Other than that the server have been nearly perfect. It’s probably just your connection. Halo 5 has the best servers of any game on Xbox one I have seen so far.
Having internet problems? Blame the game and company, don’t try to figure out what the actual problem is when you’re the only one having it!

he is not the only one with a problem . many people have the same broblem , and that is also the reason that constantly goes the population down .
The servers are the problem.

I don’t think so. The people that have this problem either live in eu or have bad internet. The servers for me and many other are great.

Don’t waste your time. There really isn’t much there to help you and there are 40+ pages to go through. Early on there was a comment from someone at 343i that they were looking into it. However, that was a couple of weeks after the game launched. Since then, nothing. Zero support in the support forum.
My guess is that there is a compatibility issue with the servers and some modems (I have no way to prove this). I replaced my modem and it resolved the issue for me (mostly). I would like to point out that this modem did not have any issues. I could play other games online and had no issues streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime. My network tests showed minimal packet losses and decent connection speeds. Not everyone is in a position to swap out their modem like I was. Frankly, people shouldn’t have to replace perfectly functional hardware to play this game. It should just work.
Good luck. I know how much it sucks when you can’t get a full game in because you get dropped from the game.

This isn’t true. I had the problem for a while. I live in CA and have a good internet connection. Go to the support forum and skim through the 40+ page behemoth of the dropped connection “support” thread. You will find many people there with the same issues.
Just be glad that it hasn’t happened to you and try to be supportive to the many people that are frustrated that they cannot play this game online.

Thanks dude. Perhaps it is a compatibility issue, I’m going to look into my modem online and see if there are any other reported hardware issues.

If they live in Europe and have a good connection but are still getting disconnected from games in Halo 5, isn’t that a server issue?
I never understood the “it’s working fine for me and my friends” comments. That means absolutely nothing to people who play in other regions with good Internet connections but are still getting disconnected during multiplayer. That just proves their point that the issue is with the game, not their connection.

lol no it is the servers. Everyone know regional players have issues. Just because YOU have no issues with playing, that does not mean others don’t. There is an EU thread with over 3000 responses…

I agree with this. I play every other game perfectly fine (Battlefield for example) but when I jump into halo I always get latency issues, or that annoying retrieving data screen after a match.

Mine was an older Arris modem on an older DOCSIS standard (I think this might be where the issue is). DOCSIS - Wikipedia
I don’t know if I would go out and buy a modem yet since there is no guarantee that it will work. Like I said, this is just my theory. Just because it worked for me, doesn’t mean it will work for you.

I think where they are coming from is that I am not a eu player butrather an NA one suffering the same issues. Unless of course you are using that as your example otherwise I understand you.
Pretty sure it’s the servers. I only get kicked on ARENA. War zone, I’ve NEVER lost connection, strictly arena. So no, it’s not the players fault, it’s the servers that are garbage.
Halo 5’s servers are bad? Go ahead and try to play the MCC.
