Let me first say I love the game, but it has some serious flaws that need to be addressed. First the power boost that kills you is so unrealistic. I know it’s a video game, but this has resulted in players doing nothing but sprinting around and pounding into people and they have no other skill. It makes no sense that I can blast someone in the forehead with bullets and they live but someone can bum rush me and I die. It really effects team slayer but has destroyed free for all. Every game you have multiple people that do nothing but explode into you and it breaks down the entire system. If the impact of the power burst kills me, then it should also kill the person doing the burst. With the new and smaller radar the speed of the game has made the radar useless. They might as well remove the stupid thing. With the increased speed of the game the radar should be bigger, not smaller. it’s overall a good experience, much better than halo 4 but these flaws seriously effect the game

Even if it makes gameplay stupid, it makes perfect sense according to lore. I don’t have the fall of reach right beside me but I think Spartans could run almost 80km/h or something around that number. Getting bashed in the head by a guy wearing ?metal? armor at those kind of speeds sounds like it would do some serious damage.

So… What, them explicitly stating it in the community update isn’t enough proof for you?
Part of what makes it so insufferable right now is the update that removes how easy it is to get kills with it. Spartan Companies need to cram in as much grinding time on that commendation now while it’s easier to achieve because pretty soon, the grind will be even worse.
So yes, blame 343 for the silly game mechanics. But REALLY blame 343 for encouraging the behavior by making it a REQUIREMENT to unlock things.

That takes skill, because it’s called dodging. Also they should overhaul the stupid melee system, as in you shouldn’t be able to unload half a clip, then punch and kill the enemy when they still have a third of their shields for the kill, it buffs automatic weapons to much, and it discourages players trying to actually use a weapon that takes aiming to win(e.g. BR, pistol, DMR)
I’m new to the forum so I’m sorry if this has been discussed. I disagree that it takes skill to dodge, it takes luck. I’ve have many times I’ve does left of right and they still hit me because it’s almost if the burst hones on you. I’m not sure if this is the case, but dodging maybe works 50 percent of the time. Also, it’s really hard to dodge someone when it’s from behind. If you’re walking in one direction and someone is sprinting from behind there’s really no time to see them coming on your radar. And let’s say it is realistic because of halo lore, if the impact is that great it should kill both players, not just the one inflicting the damage. For example, if I’m driving in a car and slam into someone standing still at 90 mphs I’m not escaping that crash unscathed. I’m either dying or getting seriously injured.
