I’ve noticed a lot more lower ranked players in H5 lately which has decimated my Win Loss ratio lately but either way is Firefight bringing more people into H5? Oh and when I say a lot of new players I mean most or even all of one or both teams being new players, has anyone else noticed this?
I have as well yes, atleast 2 to 4 each game even when I play with one of my fireteam members we still get 2 to 4 people under 40

low level account decimating your W/L ratio is probably a smurf account.
Sorry to be THAT guy, but the population, as seen on Microsoft’s website, puts Halo 5 way down there. Last time I checked, I believe it was 18th most played. If anything, its losing people 
It’s possible it is a mix of new players and smurf accounts. However, they’re having a free to play week for Halo 5 along with it being 50% off that week so that may bring it a lot of new players (and of course the FF update). How many players will increase the population from this week, who knows? Its a smart idea regardless because FF will bring in old and new players.

Well like I’ve pointed out before the market is just too saturated with quality FPS games now…the core will stay and play but peoples attention is always going to go towards the newer/shinier things

Well I understand the smurf accounts omg do I lol…but the last few days its been well me winning mostly against them which hey im so happy for haha…but does seem to be more new then smurfs as well there skill isn’t what I would consider a smurf lol
Well they can’t go down /s. Seriously though, you’ll always get new players as the games price drops and halo 5 has a ton of free content.

No I mean I get inexperienced teammates which ends up causing me to lose a lot

I wonder why call of duty and battlefield don’t seem to have the same population problems as Halo.

Still up there I guess, plus the possible boost in new players I noticed has only been happening to me for about 3 days now.
No, they’re not going up. Hence why the game is going to be free for a whole week, to boost sales.
If they’re really good players, those low ranked players are most likely smurf accounts.
People make them to get better at the game without affected their stats on their main account, or just doing bad before they get a rank so that they can just destroy everyone else in their game.
