Halo 5 has finally came out… YAYYY! I actually enjoyed the game, mainly multiplayer… Campaign, different story. Though hopefully this review can get 343i to making Halo 6 the best that it will be. Lets go on with the campaign.
- Campaign:but though a major obvious thing gets in come in Cortana is alive. It’s obvious as Master Chief’s armor being MARK VI, or Locke being a playable character. Now, the campaign gets off on a kinda good start, Osiris has a friendly talk kind of, and then they go all Avengers using their SPARTAN abilities to the max, and utterly slaughter everything in sight. Now in the first mission, things go a bit down-hill. Ya see you get to get Halsey back and Jul M’dama dies, probably too quickly throughout the game. I honestly hoped Blue Team and Arbiter would do a joint op and kill the little -Yoink- in a badass fight, but NOPE Instead, Jul gets his -Yoink- handed to him quite easily by Locke, who simply stabs the guy to death. Now, Osiris gets good at first, then the team is all boring. There to military, the only fun character I see is Buck. Cause I mean, it’s Buck, who doesn’t like Bucky? I like Buck. Point is, all of them (yes even Buck) is all GRRR MILITARY, ORDERS ARE ORDERS, FOLLOWW THEEMM. This goes for Blue Team. I remember seeing some fun conversations in the books, and one was going in on Genesis. Also, about Blue Team… 343i. I love you I promise I do, but what the -yoink- were you guys thinking when there were only 3 BLUE TEAM MISSIONS!? Come on! I don’t mind Locke being the star (which I don’t mind cause now his character seemed alright) But, could you guys at least increase the Blue Team Missions? That was a major disappointment. What’s also disappointing, is the Blue Team storyline. It makes everything a bad love story. Putting this in a nutshell, Warden wants Cortana, Cortana wants Chief, Chief Wants Cortana. That is how I picture it, a bad love story. With explosions, guns, and boss fights. Also, did I mention that cliffhanger ending? I was able to take it cause Halo 2, I can also take Cortana being my psycho ex-girlfriend. But now, for characters… - Characters: I won’t get that much into the characters for Blue Team and Buck, but Kelly could have spoke more, same goes for Kelly. Linda was alright, she was considered a “lone wolf” and was silent. John was also silent which is his normal self but Kelly and Fred lightened the mood. Now for Vale and Tanaka, I actually see them as having nice character development, mainly Vale from the way she snapped at Cortana. Though, Osiris is a team and they should have really communicated more and not just on the objective. Buck did well at it, the rest… Eh. Though, I do dislike Cortana acting like a psychotic ex-girlfriend. - Gameplay: The gameplay is smooth, though due to me not playing the Beta in forever, and not being able to go anywhere to play Halo 5, it felt pretty weird playing the game, but then I got used to it and really kicked -Yoink-. The gameplay is fine, and honestly Halo does need to involve but its to a limit. I did get used to the thrusters and I do like them, but I dont like having “smart scope” It’s useless. Smart Scope is ADS, deal with it. No matter what 343i says, no matter what you say, that’s BS, its proven to be ADS. Sprint and the thrusters are alright, in fact the way the SPARTAN’s move is alright. REQ packs are great as well. I easily have no problem getting a gold REQ pack, and honestly to those that are complaining… Pls I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking… Most of everything (besides skins, armor pieces, assassination animations, and stances) are for Warzone only. Last time I remember, a skin does not gain invincibility, aimbot, or makes you win the game instantly, Please community, calm down. - Multiplayer: Multiplayer is good. I dislike Arena, and I have had more fun on Warzone. Now, there is a major flaw to Arena. Its WAY to much on E-sports, and honestly to me Halo has been something that I have played casually. This e-sports vibe is killing it. Warzone now, is a different story. The fun I have spawning in a Scorpion with my buddy hopping in the turret, and were blowing you up, your kids up, Greenskull up, your dog up, and Warden Eternal with his boyfriend Tankmaster Rok up. Its all fun, even when you pull out your Mantis and kill me and ruin my spree. I simply spawn a Phaeton and blow you up. Even if I suck, in the end, I blow up you, your mantis, your kids up, Greenskull up, your dog up, and Warden Eternal with his boyfriend Tankmaster Rok, again, and as well blow up your Mantis. Though I do also dislike everything having dedicated servers. My internet is worse than the junk-food you eat, and when I try to play Custom Games I lag harder than my Scorpion Spree. - Other things: There are a couple things that I do want to discuss before ending this. Customization-Kinda good and Kinda bad. I dislike the no shoulder and knee pads, and there seems to be less of everything. SPARTAN Companies are good, honestly a clan thing is probably the best thing that came into the game, not just competitive clans, but clans where you need people to play with. Really good job on that. Also, kiinddaa disappointed that Forge isn’t in Day One, really makes me sad. Hopefully it would be good. I also miss my MARK V Helmet and Grav Hammer… #IcalledtheGravHammerMyBanHammer. Halo 5 though, in the end, is great. The Campaign was still nice (even though I hate the cliffhanger) and the multiplayer is enjoyable, I just hope there will be more casual modes on it. Forge I hope will be good. Anyways, that’s all.
