Hi, I have a question about Halo 5 req system. Silver and Gold packs grants 2 permanent unlocks if available. How something can be unavailable?
I’m asking because every time I unlock silver or even gold pack I unlock only one permanent req. And is it profitable to buy the greatest hits req pack?
I would recommend to focus on Silver and Gold Packs in the following order.
- Silver Packs until the permanent items will get replaced with 2x 1500 req points - Gold Packs until the permanent items will get replaced with 2x 3000 req pointsThis is mainly due to the reasoning for going with this approach is to minimize the cost for each permanent item that is obtainable from the standard req packs. The Silver Pack will give 1 permanent item for every 2,500 req points spend, Gold packs will give 1 permanent item for every 5,000 req points spend. This is much lowest than the cost of 20,000 req points from each permanent item from the Greatest Hits Customization Pack.

When something is “unavailable” it means you already have it unlocked. Eventually you will unlock all permanent unlocks (armours, skins, emblems etc).
When this happens you will instead receive a partial refund of REQ points.
As I have unlocked all permanent unlocks I now receive 6,000 points back from a gold pack & 3,000 points back from a silver pack. Bronze packs are unaffected by this.
So, the REQ points are refunded in form of REQ cards? I can’t recall having some kind of refund. Does the refund depends on how many unlockables you alredy have, because I remember getting only 300-500 REQ points cards?

You will get refunded with req points in place of the permanent items after you have unlocked every single permanent item available from these packs. Here are pictures of the cards that will replace the permanent items from the Silver and Gold packs.
- Silver Pack: 1500 req points card - Gold Pack: 3000 req points card
And does your SR matters in terms of permanent loot from REQ packs? I mean if my SR is 32, and i keep opening gold packs, is there any chance of dropping legendary loot (like Helljumper or Reach armors), or the drop of this items depends on your SR?

Your Spartan Rank has ZERO influence over what you unlock in packs. It is all random chance.
Though I do recommend opening Bronze, then silver & then gold packs. There’s some basic essentials in the lower tier packs that you’ll need but won’t get from higher tier packs.
And what about weapon certificates? What do they change?Or is it an unlockable like armor or helmet, which does not change anything?
Weapon certs don’t change and they’re treated like every other unlockable, you earn them by opening silver packs and then gold packs. They don’t really change anything, they’re just something else you unlock along the way. And I’m going respectfully disagree with my colleague (TheDONCJG) in regards to bronze packs. I would suggest waiting to open bronze packs last (after you finish silvers, then golds). There is no guaranteed unlocks in bronze packs, so it’s just luck of the draw, and they only thing I unlocked from the bronze packs, was the different mongoose certifications. Opening bronze packs requires a little bit of luck, might take you 10 packs to get what you need, might take 96… you never know. What I did was open my silver packs, and when I started getting RP back, start opening my gold packs. Once I got RP back from my gold packs, I then went to the bronze packs, which it took approximately 20 or so bronze packs to finish my certifications.
I am SR32, and I have system that i buy Silver packs and spend leftover points for bronze

I don’t know if Spartan Ranks affects the random number generator used to generate the content given from the Req Packs. However, I can say few things with confidence and one of these things is that you won’t receive duplicates of permanent req cards and the permanent items from Silver and Gold Packs will only be replaced with req points when you have unlocked every single permanent item in the req pool.
When it comes to unlocking a specific item in the standard req pool (items that can be obtained from standard Bronze, Silver or Gold Packs) is to focus on unlocking every single item in the Common to Rare rarity before attempting to obtain items in the Ultra Rare to Legendary rarity.
REQ system is bogus, I bought a platinum pack and got a bunch of common to rare REQs with like two permanent unlocks, both of them trash

Weapon certifications are only unlocked once. Once you get a certification it allows you to start being able to get that weapon from REQ packs.
For example you may unlock the Spartan Laser certification in a pack. From then on you’ll have the chance to get Spartan Laser’s from packs.
If you do not have a certification for a weapon then you will not get that weapon from a pack.

People have mostly addressed your questions above but I’ll take a stab at a single post to try and cover everything.
Halo 5 has 2 main types of Requisitions,
- Permanent unlocks - Consumables. The Permanent unlocks include all the various customization items (armor, stances, assasinations, weapon skins, visors etc.), the different loadout weapons, and certifications for consumable items.
Consumable items include things like the various special Req variant weapons and Vehicles (Tanks, Nornfang, etc.) but can also be XP or RP boosts.
Certifications - this simply means once you’re certified, the drop rate of that particular consumable req increases in opening packs.
‘if available’ means there is a limited amount of permanent Reqs to unlock - and once you’re obtained them once, they’re unlocked!
There are common, uncommon, rare, ultra rare and Legendary Reqs (both permanent and consumable).
The best way to obtain all the permanent unlocks without spending too much RP is to open exclusively silver packs - until you no longer receive a permanent unlock - CuriousGalaxy linked a photo of what you’ll get instead ( a partial refund of addition RP)
Spartan rank has no bearing on what appears in the packs, only your existing library of permanent unlocks affects the next drop in packs (and the type of pack you open).
And is there any way to unlock REQ packs that were on REQ shop, but they no longer are(Memories of Reach, Platinum)? I recently heard about pizza party REQ pack, how to get it?
