Halo 5 Release Date Change?

So Gamestop, Walmart and now Amazon are all saying Halo 5 is being released on October 21st. What’s up with this?

I have not seen any news about the date being moved up but I just received an email from Amazon stating my Limited Collector’s Edition will be here on the 21st.

Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Nope the release date is the same. That edition just comes with a digital copy of the game instead of a disk so you can pre-download it on the 21st, but it won’t unlock until the 27th.

So why is Amazon saying my 250 dollar PHYSICAL collector’s edition is arriving a week in advance? That is the confusing part.

Because the code for the digital copy arrives with the whole collector’s edition bundle. So you get the whole package early AND get to Pre-download the game.

No you don’t understand. Currently the Limited Collectors Edition comes with a digital copy of the game that you pre-download on your XB1 and it unlocks on the 27th. It doesn’t come with a disk, but they recently stated that they are looking into providing an option for those that want a physical disk.

It’ll still be unlocked, and you get to PLAY a week in advance, from what I read. Did I misread something?

You don’t get to play early, just download in time for the actual release.
