I personally think that the basic premise of the plot is good, but its execution was pathetically bad. I think they should keep the same basic ideas of Chief going rogue, Locke needs to hunt him down, and something is activating the Guardians, and then redo basically everything else and make it at least 15 hours long. At the very least, REDACTED needs to go. He’s proven time and time again that he’s incompetent when it comes to writing Halo plots and turned what could have been the greatest campaign in the franchise into basically its worst. I honestly have no idea how he landed lead writing on Halo 5 to begin with. I know 343 said they had no plans to do campaign DLC and that they were focused on multiplayer, but honestly if enough people get loud and angry enough about how lackluster the plot was and demand a new one they’ll probably at least add on to it.
P.S. Anyone who says this campaign is “good” was either high af when they played it or completely delusional. Either way I wouldn’t associate with them.
Wow you’re calling for them to redo the campaign? Ambitious.
They might as well just make Halo 6 in 2 months instead XD
it cant be extended we have to pray halo 6 will be much better

The whole campaign is an -Yoink!-. From a story telling perspective fireteam osiris doesn’t even need to be in the game. The whole point of them was supposed to be so we could see chief from another perspective, but 343 did nothing with it, thus Osiris isn’t needed. Add in the plot holes, OOC chief, and cardboard cutout blue team, and honestly Halo 5 should probably be made non-canon. The fact that 95% of the fan base is massively disappointed and the rest are moderately disappointed tells you everything you need to know. I’ve not seen one person who was actually happy with where the campaign went.
It’s actually comical that this was the best they could come up with after 3 years of development
They should make a campaign DLC that overrides the original campaign once installed, oh by the way, free DLC… They should get on their knees and beg Chris Schlerf to come back (he wrote Halo 4) since original Halo writers won’t come back and a dark toned, deep Chief character development, and emotional campaign is what we need(ed) for Halo 5. Although this will never happen it is what needs to be done.
I think they can make Halo 6’s story great but I feel like it will never reach its potential if its predecessor is awful. I’m expecting a civil war type tone for Halo 6, which is Created vs Creators, but I still feel like there’s too many plot holes to make anything good happen with it…
tbh none of those choices is going to happen xD
