I’m a bit concerned about the seasonal ranking system… being in college, I’m not going to have as much time as I would like to play halo 5. so my concern is that maybe 1 month is too short for a season. I was thinking maybe it would be a good idea to extend that to a two month season or even 3 month season. I don’t know if others would agree with me or not but its just an idea.
They are probably testing the waters to see how the community reacts to the season length. One month does seem a little short, but it might just be for the first few seasons due to people getting the game at different times during the holiday season. 343 might not want anyone who gets the game in the middle of November to feel like they are behind. My best guess is seasons are going to be one month until the world championship, then they will extend them to three to four months.
I would like overlapping seasons so you get a yearly, quarterly and monthly season rank. I think it would give a better impression on how you play overall but also how well you have done recently.
There are 5 ranked playlists
If the seasons cycle through one playlist at a time (going in chronological order down the list) and each season is 1 month long
This means the next time the playlist previous that had just been reset wont be reset for another 5 months

I don’t like the seasoned rank at all, I think the ranking system should be like Halo Reach.
I’m not a fan of the seasons either. The ranking system should be like Halo 3. Have a True Skill rank and then have it be EXP (wins) based.
Idk the point of having seasons in the first place but the first ten placement games should in theory put you right back to where you were right?

Yes three months would be cool, like a quarterly thing.
It will probably be extended, or tampered with at the very least.
