If you consider yourself an average player, I would almost recommend purposely losing your first 10 placement games just so that you don’t get stuck in a bracket above where you belong. I have seen a lot of people get ranked above where they belong, and subsequently become stuck in a bracket that they cant win at. The whole point of the ranking system is to establish a 50% win rate thus giving you a 50/50 chance of wining any given game. But, I am seeing some people in platinum and diamond with 20% win rates.
