There was a short Xbox Live outage earlier which is likely what you experienced. You will never ‘lose’ you rank, if your stats don’t appear correctly it’s usually because of either server issues or Xbox Live problems. Always make sure and check the Xbox Live Support website in cases like this and please use the support forums in future, thanks
