I know this topic has probably been beaten over the head, and maybe someone from 343 can elaborate on what is occurring, but when reviewing my gameplay, I noticed on opposing players on my radar were showing up behind me, but were in fact IN FRONT OF ME. In one instance, the opponent had 2 players in front of me and I had a teammate directly behind me, on the radar it showed the teammate in front of me and their two players behind me! Please see the pictures below with explanations. After seeing this I’m not even going to look at the radar and always be on my toes until we get notification it’s fixed. http://tinypic.com/r/2wp5imq/9 http://tinypic.com/r/qot0r7/9 http://tinypic.com/r/5cano3/9
and my arrow is pointing forward and the enemies should be in front and even if where the case the radar changed, the entire perspective would change not just the enemies.
It’s not broken it’s just worthless since they made the radar range so short and Spartans and move much faster. By the time they show up on the radar they are on you.
Radar is 100% broken and people who deny it are either blind or don’t pay attention. I can’t count how many times a red blip has shown up on my screen about 75% into the circle (25% away from my body) when they were just walking or running to me. They should have been on the radar the second they entered the 18m range, but they only appear once they are about 5m from me.
This happens in addition to what the OP is talking about. Blips appear to “bounce” around on the radar at random. I equate it to electron fields in an atom: We use electron fields to judge the probability of where an electron MAY be, but the field itself is large and we are unable to pinpoint exactly where the electron IS. Same thing with the Halo 5 radar: random red blips appear on the radar, and often there is no way to tell if it is accurate or not.
lethalq Good point! If anything the radar should now be larger! It makes no reasonable sense to anyone logical human being to make the game faster and the radar smaller, unless you’re trying to make it useless.
OP, first of all, none of these pictures are of your gamertag and BlushedScroll11 has no Halo achievements or Halo 5 games played. So you’ve led me to believe you’ve made an alt account which is against forum rules.
I came into this post seeking to help explain what is going on, but it hardly seems worth my time now.
My only guess is those are screenshots from theater, which is absolutely buggy as hell. As far as in game, I know so many people have problems with it, and more than just disliking its range, but noticing people appearing and disappearing seemingly at random, but I honestly have never had a problem with the radar in this game. It works just fine for me. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
