Halo 5 PVE map "Dunes of Prymudial"

Hello, I’m Colin and today I am proud to present my new map called “Dunes of Prymudial.”

This map is apart of a series of maps I do known as Raid maps. Up to 12 players join together to take on the maps raid. A very hard and challenging activity that involves bosses, puzzles, and raid specific loot. But that’s not the only thing to do on the map. If you set out into the open landscape of the map, you can find dungeons and plenty of secrets that have loot and can help you complete the Raid. You can play the maps “Wardens Den” and “Darkness of the Light” to understand what I mean.

The map has the same concept and gameplay as my older maps “Warden’s Den” and “Darkness of the Light” but this time I plan on making sure the map is not only heavily focused on activities but also is visually appealing. For now the map is in alpha stage and will more than likely take over 2-3 months to finish up and polish. For now though I want to make sure that you guys know what kind of things you can expect within this map.

Landscape:
The landscape for Wardens Den was heavily focused on a mountainous feel but had this sort of mechanical vibe to it when venturing into the lower parts of the map.
Darkness of the Light was focused on horror and a lunar atmosphere.
But this time I plan on making that feeling more apparent and visually pleasing. The map is set in a large open desert, with canyons and a gigantic castle to explore. The Castle is inspired by Dark Souls and will be full of treasure, traps, and bosses to find.
Be careful where you walk in this desert as you can end up falling into a deep canyon, where the only way out is to take on a covenant Locust (more on the enemies later.)
The maps most striking point of interest is a deep massive hole that is surrounded by huge, protruding spikes. Above the gap is a killball, the killball tells players that this is where the raid entrance is. The map itself is enormous. If you stand at the complete opposite end of the map to where the castle is, you will not be able to see it.

Raid:
So if your a Destiny player, then something like this should feel right at home with you but for players who just like playing Custom Games with friends, this is a very unique custom game that gives you a great feeling when you complete the Raid. For now there will be no spoilers but I will release a trailer later on specifically about the Raid and some of the things you can do.

Dungeons:
Dungeons can come in multiple forms. Parkour, Mazes, Races, Arena’s, and my personal favorite, Boss encounters. The map will have a wide variety of these activities spread throughout the map. Should you complete that activity, you claim the loot from the chest at the end. Chests can have weapons like the Ad Victoria or maybe an Oathsworn.

Bosses:
Since this is still in Pre-Alpha. Bosses and other encounters are still being worked upon. We do have one boss encounter that involves a Locust that must be killed before it unleashes its attacks but even then that is subject to change. BUT you can expect all bosses to be themed after the covenant. The main enemy you will be fighting against will be the Covenant and some monsters on the side.

Well that is all I’m going to talk about today. If you are interested in this map I highly recommend that you go and play Wardens Den to get a good understanding of the mechanics at play. You can expect me to post some photos of the map next week. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel (AWESOME SAUSEY) so you can keep up to date on the trailers and progress. Besides that I’ll see you all in the Dunes.
