Ok so I’ve gotten into a debate for which one is better and which one would win in the real world.
Light Saber or prophet’s bane
which one would win?
So people in the comments or whoever reads this I need to know how the science of the prohets bane works and how does it give you those buffs and I need an explanation on how it would work in the real world. and I want the explanation on how the prophets bane gives you those buffs in the real world.
Thank you people!

So for a debate between two fictional weapons, you want someone to give you some fictional science on how it works in the real world, along with how the fictional buffs would somehow be in fffect in the real world?
And you intend to use these (fictional) replies as points in your debate?
Prophet’s bane, it’ got active camo
Light saber = magic(the force is not technology)+ plasma
PBane = plasma + advanced alien tech to make barriers to form the blade and protect wielder.
Magic wins

and a larger lunge range if you aim it

but you can throw a lightsaber and control it with the force.
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’d actually recommend watching the Gsme Theory video on this. Jedi would beat an elite not because of their weapon but because of their space magic
Well if its a Jedi that wields the LS then the PB invisibility means nothing due to their use of the force. I’d assume that the PB has some sort of power source that has limited uses so it would seem that a prolonged fight might favor the seemingly endless power of the LS. If identical Jedi’s were using both weapons then the additional boosts may give that cloned Jedi even more speed to out maneuver the LS Jedi but the PB does provide more wrist protection than the average LS (not counting Kylo Ren’s crossbar/broadsword LS). This seems to be a major flaw in the LB model seen by the fact that a lot of Jedi’s lose their hands.
Prophets Bane. You can’t kill what can’t see. Plus PB has lockon features
GameTheory actually did a video on this pretty recently. Just look up “GameTheory Halo vs Star Wars” But, simply put, since big are (canonically) plasma-based weapons, both would be well matched against each other.
May the Force be with you, Arbiter!
There is nothing inherently magical about lightsabers. They are not powered by the Force (though some of them have hidden switches inside that mean they can only be activated by a Force-user who knows about it).
The real difference between these weapons is going to be in the blade geometry and application. IMO, lightsabers have a much more utilitarian design and would overcome what I perceive as flaws of the energy sword design, namely the punching-dagger styled hilt.
But really though…? Both are freaking awesome. Who cares? Would you complain about having either one?
It depends on the wielder. A Jedi with a PB will be better than a Jedi with a lightsaber, because with the PB they will have the force AND be invisible, with a speed boost.
The wielding of the sword sends an electromagnetic pulse through the wielder and in this electromagnetic pulse tiny reflective molicules place themselves perfectly to aline with the same pattern that the covenant use with active camo.

I think the hilt was specifically designed for elite hands and arms and that is why we think of it as fairly un-utilitarian.
While the Energy sword seems like it would be far less useful in a bind (a meeting of the two swords) because only one hand can hold the handle as opposed to 2, the reach and speed of swing/stab for the energy sword should be faster.

SSSSHHHHHHH!!! No one must know…
This is going to be one of those topics with no definitive answer.
My friend and I had a conversation on this and our conclusion was if the jedi was using the saber he would win 1 one 1 if it was just say someone who knew how to use it with no force power they would lose, if it was an 2 elites both experienced in the weapons sword would win because by technology standards the sword is better due to the lighter weight and it has better hand protection in comparison to a standard light saber along with that the duel blade design of the sword can be used to disarm someone with a saber saying that that means 2 people that have no experience with either weapon would still result in the sword winning.
Basically the sword is better tech and the saber only wins if you use the force for an advantage
