OK so for Christmas I’m getting Halo 5, and I want to know if there is anything I can do in other games or online to prep fro it to take up sometime between now and the 25th of December…

Currently I have done…

  • Experience Halo 5 req pack thing for the Assault rifle skin - Taken part in the Halo 5 beta (in case I can do something that needs that) - Watched Halo Nightfall for the okay-ish armourI am currently doing…

  • All 4 Legendary campaigns on MCCXbone Halo games owned…

  • HALO MCC - HALO Spartan AssaultI am also going to get the Master Chief controller at some point around Christmas too

Anything I can do would be helpful, and if I missed something out or got it wrong please feel free to correct me.

Prep for what?

If you can beat any other Halo game solo legendary (not 2)
you’ll do fine in this ones.

Multiplayer? Its different from the others so you’ll need to play it to figure it out.

There are a few other armors you can unlock, like the odst armor for watching nightfall on the halo channel.

Watch streams of people playing warzone. Decide if you want to get into that crazyness. If you do and it sounds like you are not too worried about money, the Warzone bundle will help get you closer to others since you are starting late.

Halo 5 is one of the hardest Halo games to play. You have to get used to it by playing it.

Also you should grab the nightfall armor by fast forwarding the nightfall episodes. Takes two minutes.

H5 is WAY different than others. In terms of feel, it obviously feels most like H4, but doesn’t play anything like it.

Really? I thought the Beta played well, is it better or worse than the Beta, if so any ways in particular?

Is there any I can do now in other games? I have the Nightfall but forgot to add it to the list, but its up there now. Thanks for the reminder

I saw that but wasn’t sure if it was worth it, £20 seems like a lot to give to a game, especially micro transactions

The beta was better. The TTK has been reduced in the retail version and it just feels more and more “Shoot first and win”

So its suffering from typical modern game syndrome? That doesn’t sound good…

Thats not realy true i get reversal medals all the time as well as get owned when i engadge first. I think its on par with older halos in terms of the shoot first win thing, there is ample oppertunity to return fire so long as your back isnt to the enemy.

to get preped fir the new halo just play halo. You’ll pick it up quick. The maps will take some time to understand they are really complex wich is fun. There are alot if ways to trick your opponent using corners and trick routs hidden in different places. You will have fun.

No worries, if you’re a fan of fast paced Halo action, then you’ll love Halo 5.

In my opinion its the best Halo since the first game.

I can’t wait to see all the wizard -Yoink- people will be doing with the new movement options a year from now.
