I have a little question regarding precision weapons. I know headshots are very important, but I’ve been having some trouble with my accuracy lately. I’ve heard of the 4 burst tactic for the BR, 3 to the body 1 to the head. Does this still apply to Halo 5. Would it be better to aim at the head first when engaging another player or should I just use body shots first, then aim at the head when their shields are down?. Does this apply to other weapons as well
It’s still 4 bursts and yes do body then the head. Aiming for the head first is only good if either close to them you don’t know their shield strength, sometimes you can nail them right then and there in 1 burst that way.
Cool. Thanks
Well, the BR used to be a 4 shots weapon, now it’s completely random (if you play the tuned version) but yeah, shooting the body first and then the head is the best way to face an opponent.
If you’re having trouble with your accuracy i suggest you play either some swat (it’s going to be frustrating at the beginning but you’ll get better) or some octagon with someone that’s around your skill level.
From first-hand experience, the H5 Battle Rifle is still a 4-burst kill to the head in the Weapon Tuning Playlist, but the reduced rate-of-fire leaves little room for error if you mess up a burst halfway through. In short, you need to have a greater degree of accuracy or else you’ll have flashbacks of H3 BR fests of yesteryear.
My shots have been way off lately. I don’t get it. The BR is the only weapon that I aim for body, then aim for head. The rest, for some reason, I only aim for the head.
It does still work but a rule of thumb is if you just practice aiming for the head in the first place you’re aim will be better
