Halo 5 Plot

HALO 5: GUARDIANS

  • Trying to find some info on the following
    > What is the plot to the main campaign?
    > Any news on whether or not 343 will have Cortana go from the digital realm to the human realm in Halo?
    > Is Jen Taylor doing the mo-cap for Cortana this time around?

> We don’t know a lot currently aside from the fact that the Master Chief receives a message from a mysterious source that leads him and his Spartan-IIs teammates to go AWOL. Afterwards a new team of Spartan-IVs, Fireteam Osiris, lead by Spartan Locke are assigned to track them down and find out what is going on. The campaign will span multiple locations and worlds, and at least a portion will feature the Elite homeworld Sangheilios. All of this somehow ties in to the appearance of giant Forerunner machines called Guardians. Other characters that will be involved are the Arbiter, Infinity’s crew (Lasky, Palmer, Roland, etc.), Jul M’dama, and Dr. Halsey.
> Absolutely none. And also highly unlikely in terms of Halo canon.
> Unknown. Though it has been shown that she did at least some for Dr. Halsey.

To be fair, it doesn’t really matter who does the mocap. There’s no way to discern if the voice actor does it or not. As for the rest,

GreenleafCM knows whats up.

I’m pretty sure it turns out that Cortana was actually a Gravemind the entire time and she’s been slowly infecting Chief with the logic plague to turn him against humanity. So Chief goes AWOL in Halo 5 and meets up with his new Gravemind master buddy and they----

Wait. This was supposed to just be a troll post but it actually sounds pretty neat.

Cortana is dead, and she already has a human form (Halsey)

This interesting because we first see Locke in one cut scene from Halo 2, then nothing after that. Is this some sort of fan bait or what?

Same haha.

My theory is the Librarian perfected the composer, used it to accelerate the species archival process and as an important part of the Forerunners “great journey”. This is entirely based on Halo 3s terminals. This is how Ur-Didact was successfully composed, despite being immune, the composers built by the forge in escalation had a different blue-print than the one Ur-Didact hid from the Librarian, and Ur-Didact was not immune to the new design. I have many other reasons to believe this that I don’t want to get into right now. Its important to remember the composer was originally intended to be a bridge between the physical and digital realms, and bridges go both ways. If the composer was perfected it is certainly possible Cortana could be made flesh and blood, but theres no reason to believe she will, and I have doubts. Besides she would be more useful to humanity and herself as an A.I, which is probably why she chose that form in the first place.

Actually we first see him in Nightfall followed by the two cutscenes in Halo 2A. He’s narrating some of the terminals in H2A as well.
