I just wanted to get people’s opinions of the most probable storyline (given the 343 history) of Halo 5-6. I am aware that some people have already wrote up in-depth story lines, but for the purpose of this thread, dot-points or small paragraphs would be appreciated.
Hopefully people who have an in depth knowledge from reading all the halo books (Karen Traviss’ as well as Greg Bears) could feel free to put forth their opinions.
eg:
- Infinity goes here
- Jul’s forces locate the Absolute Record
- how the flood could come back into the picture once again if so
- etc etc

Here’s what I would like to see in Halo 5. I would like to see the return of the Plasma Rifle, the Brutes, and their weapons. I would also like to see a new UNSC aircraft. Let’s see what 343 can do. I would also like to dual-wield, and to use the Sentinel Beam again.
Two ideas for the plot. First, obviously the world wants to see Cortana resurrected, if you can’t work that into the main campaign, maybe you could at least hint at it in terminals if you’re still planning on those or in Legendary Ending. Second , throughout Halo, Master Chief has been on Installation 04, Earth, Installation 05, The Ark, Installation 04B, and Requiem. He never really been on a planet other that Earth or a Forerunner-made world, never on an alien planet. It could be interesting to see him on Sanghelios or some other world. Also, like in Halo 2, the player could play as two different characters, preferably the Arbiter. I would LOVE to see what you could do with the Arbiter. Finally, if you do bring back dual-wield, make it so that the Needler can once again be dual-wielded, and make it so that you can dual-wield the Energy Sword.
As the next three installments of the game are called the “Reclaimer Trilogy”, I would think that MC would be seeking something.
The Mantle is a possibility as humans were supposed to be the keepers.
What I am excited for is the fact that we will probably be exposed to new weapons, vehicles, and locations.
As the Chief probably has gone back to Earth, I am sure there will be a lot of new toys to play with.
I would love to revisit a Halo ring.
Here are a few events ( not chronologically ordered) that I believe will happen in Halo 5 and probably 6.
My Halo 5-6 plot predictions
•Humanity gets the Absolute Record. However, there is great disagreement on how to use all the Forerunner installations. Causing political turmoil between ONI and the other UNSC branches.
•Master Chief is reunited with his old squad, they in-effect, replace Cortana. But…
•Cortana will return somehow. Probably at the end of Halo 6.
•The UrDidact is not dead, he will return as an antagonist. However, he won’t be the big bad this time around…
•The Flood return, not sure how, but it wont be your average quarantine break. These Flood have help…
•Darkness stirs at the edge of the Galaxy. The precursors Return in some new form.
•at some point the following characters will die:
-Jul M’Dama
-Serin Osman
-Sarah Palmer (hopefully)
The Chief meets up with his old squad, and they do a couple of introductory missions against the Innies.
But one thing that must never happen is the return of Cortana. Sure, he can have a few flashbacks of her, or memories, or even nightmares like in H3, but she can not return physically. That would rip out any shred of emotion that Halo 4 had with Cortana’s death. People might want someone to come back from the dead in games, but it doesn’t mean they should.
