I know that you guys all want Cortana to come back in halo 5. But I want you to realize that, that would ruin halo. think about it.
Chief looses Cortana, we all where moved by that. what if she survived? then we could be sitting there going “well at least nothing bad happens to chief, now i cant relate to him at all!” We need the chief to be hit in the feels. Let’s imagine that in halo 5 the Diadact is alive (hopefully true)! that would make Cortana’s sacrifice all for not; giving the chief even more of a drive to get back in the fight, really kill the Diadact (but not until halo 6 by sacrificing himself in the process, yes i said it Chief should die in halo 6) and save humanity in the process. and through loosing Cortana he regains his humanity, and stops being the machine.
I know it sucks that Cortana died, I almost cried at the ending myself, but to build up you need to tear down first to make a stronger foundation. the ending of halo 4 would have been mediocre if Cortana didn’t die. And all of halo 4 would be wasted if Cortana came back like superman when they killed him off in the DC comics. let this story be the best that it can be where we KNOW the chief not just know of him.
He could save the universe 100 times but if we don’t connect with him and feel what he feels then the chief becomes the next expendables; just a guy that’s badass. so 343 PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF THE STORY OF HALO, KEEP CORTANA DEAD AND LEAD US WITH THE CHIEF IN HIS PATH OF TRYING TO FILL THE GAP IN HIS HEART AND FIND HIS HUMANITY!
so now that you have read everything (hopefully) do you think it wise for 343 to bring back Cortana by some random miracle? post in the comments!

You don’t understand do you. 343i wants to make money, keeping chief alive is how they are going to continue to make their banks and Microsoft happy. Bungie ended at Halo 3 with a huge cliffhanger. But they decided they need to fouck up a Halo titled and let’s call it Halo 4.
343i does not care for the community so why would they care about a rat as yourself? Why would I care? No one cares about your stupid argument. Please crawl under a rock. Good points OP. And I think I actually agree with you. And it would definitely take away from her “death” if she does come back. Or maybe Halsey will try to make another Cortana… But no matter how much she tries it won’t be the same. There are a lot of possibilities!

Some people don’t even bother to touch the campaign (which I don’t know why) but somehow, some people are still working on the campaign (not me, finished it) But I do kind of agree to the OP. Yes, Halo won’t be the same without her but it makes Chief seem more…human. Losing Cortana devastated Chief and could even affect him in the future. And like others said, Dr. Halsey could always give Chief a new A.I. but still, it won’t be the same.
I think that cortana could be dead and wouldn’t be in Halo 5 and that would be okay to me because bungie have killed many other main characters in other halo games
