I have to admit, I’ve been one of the most outspoken against the new changes 343 has implemented in this game. But I finally played the beta to see whether or not I might buy the full game… and I was surprised.
I was expecting to do nothing but play like a Call of Duty (or Destiny, since the default controls are EXACTLY that scheme), but it still felt very Halo-ish to me. Obviously, I have my little preferences, but nothing that can’t be changed within a year. I’ve decided to give it a chance, and I think you should too. I will definitely not be pre-ordering, I don’t have my faith in 343’s ability to release a game restored quite yet, but I will say that if 343 continues to LISTEN TO FANS (that’s for you 343), and keep walking along this path they’ve set up, they just might have a winning game here.
