Halo 5: Playing As Different Characters In Co Op.

I believe that there is a possibility that Each player in CO OP will be a different character. Locke would have anonymous spartans maybe even the Arbiter and some Elites and the Master Chief would have Blue team. I believe this would let Co Op players have a purpose to the story.

In Escalation #10, We know that Blue team is taking on mission after mission. What if Spartan Ops in Halo 5 had you and 3 others playing as Blue team, Doing said missions?

That would be pretty cool

A Blue Team Spartan Ops is an instant win

That would be awesome!

I really liked this feature in Halo 3. I hope it returns, but only if it is logical to the story.

Sure, why not.

You do realize that Blue Team is likely with John, right? At the end of Escalation 10, they went with him. Blue Team is John’s team, plain and simple. They always have been and would follow him to the ends of the Earth. Any Spartan-II would for that matter. So I do believe it is safe to say that John, Fred, Kelly, and Linda will be the playable characters for John’s portion of the Campaign. Locke has his own team, so they will likely be the playable characters for his campaign missions. Not just nameless faces either. Well, most likely not nameless faces. As for a Spartan-Ops Season 2, if they decide to do it, I could see people playing as Fireteam Crimson again. Either that or a team comprised of Thorne, Palmer, Naiya Rai, and possibly Miller.

Seconded

I agree 100%.
I think Master Chief’s co-op buddies will be Blue Team, while Locke’s buddies will just carry over your multiplayer character.

I’m more thinking Locke’s co-op characters should be Arby, an elite and some other spartan.

In the case of the Spartans I think it’d be cool if we got our custom Spartans in the campaign and they were ONI agents with Locke.

wishful thinking, but still.

Unless the characters have unique properties, or see things differently, or have individual objectives, then what’s the point?

I’m not trying to be a downer here. I just see it as a really superficial flair. A nice one, but still superficial. Even in the case of individual objectives, if you’re fundamentally the same with a different skin, then… why?

Player 1: Chief
Player 2: Locke
Player 3:Arbiter
Player 4:Toad

Yah that always leads to problems. IMO unless you write the entire game to revolve around a team (and subsequently integrate that team into core gameplay through squad AI’s) it would be VERY hard to pull off a convincing roster of playable characters through the campaign (for one it would constrain what plot developments were possible to always leave the possibility of multiple characters being there for every playable moment.) Halo would benefit MUCH more from a more focused design, one [assured] character and a bit of reality breaking duplication for co-op.

BLUE TEAM PLEASE

What if Locke’s team is our custom spartans? A specific cutscene that takes place before the beginning of a certain remastered video game shows Locke to have at least two spartans at his side, and both had some pretty interesting color choices… I mean red, blue, and purple color schemes? If not then my money’s on the fourth spartan having a yellow or orange color scheme.

What if in Chiefs parts we’re blue team members, in Locke’s we are our custom spartans or since the Arbiter is kinda helping we can be a custom elite if elites are playable.I can guarantee I’ll alllllways be an elite fir campaign every chance get
