From what I can tell the Plasma Caster is trash. The charge shot shoots too slow to stick to anyone and the regular shots are useless bouncy balls. It’s one of the few power weapons I never see people use. Am I missing something?

It’s better with the Smart Link, but it is quite difficult to use.

It’s really good if you know how to use it. Basically treat it like any grenade launcher you’ve used in FPS games and you will see how good it really is. Charge shot is best used against vehicles or against someone you know to be camping in a corner or something. If you always try using charge shots, you are doing it wrong.
I find it amazing. It depends on how you use it man. Don’t give up on it. I almost did.
It’s great for chucking bombs into doorways on Warzone. Like if you are trying to get a base and they’ve stacked up in the base, a Plasma caster does a great job of clearing them out.
You can charge shot it to walls to set up a trap. Also if you time it right it does track players with the charged shot.
It can’t be that bad I’ve max’ed that one out weeks ago !
I struggle with it. Sometimes I’m a vengeful god with it but sometimes I might as well have a super soaker.
I thought it was garbage the first couple times I picked it up too, it takes a little practice but its actually a pretty good weapon once you get used to it. Don’t give up!
I find firing a full change on the roof always gets the enemy by surprise ( death rain ) … Charge point up, shoot and run like hell LOL
I used to think it was the most useless weapon until I figured out how to bounce the grenades forwards the enemy and around corners.
in the pre release the plasma caster has bullet magnetism,without using the smart link, but now dont has this,
I like it for clearing rooms with multiple people. Just spam the trigger into an enclosed space, run in and mop up. Once I got an overkill from clearing the top of an armory with it. It has its purpose.

If I know that there is a person(s) in a particular room, I will bounce three shots into their general direction and it will always net me at least 1 kill. This is the most effective way I have found to use it.
I find that the Caster is situational and its rare finding the situation to use it. Its a good idea but its too slow.
