HALO 5 PC MATCHMAKING?

Hi how is everyone doing?

I’ve been reading the forums for a while now and haven’t seen any topics on halo 5 PC recently. So I made this thread to discuss and see what everyone thinks of Halo 5 PC and if you think there should be any additional contend besides custom browser and forge. Don’t get me wrong I love playing this game it’s a ton of fun. But wouldn’t you get sick of JUST playing custom browser. Honestly it’s getting a little stale and frustrating since I can’t rank up or play on official clean maps all the time.

Here is what I think they should add to Halo 5 on PC

  1. Spartan customization so I can change my service tag to identify which player is near me at all times. And for cosmetic reasons.

  2. A rank up reward system or acknowledgement of play time, right now it shows 0 time played and I played a -Yoink- ton on PC.

  3. The only way for PC players to get req points is with the daily pack that I get on this site so I’m lucky to get a 1000 req points a week. And that’s the only way of getting new armor pieces on PC.

  4. Some A.I battles like firefight or warzone he’ll make it custom warzone so we don’t rank up. This game is about the chief and his ai yet there is no ai on PC unless you use the exuberant mod tool by gamecheat13.

Seeing how Xbox one x is around the corner they should just charge us for a campaign warzone dlc since there upping it to 4K Xbox x . That’s all I can think of for now thanks for reading just needed to cool offf after getting burned out on custom browser

They might as well sell the rest of the game to PC players for, its already on pc why not.

Being 343 i bet they would want $60

i’m building a gaming pc right now because halo 5 on pc is a strong indication that we may see halo 6 get a full version on pc with microsoft’s play anywhere program. when i heard they were going to have something to do with halo at e3 but it wasn’t halo 6, i was hoping it was an announcement of a full pc version of halo 5. instead i was disappointed to see that it was halo wars 2 dlc as if we watch e3 for dlc announcements. that’s what youtube and your homescreen ad section is for. i feel like this pc version of halo 5 was more for testing the pc waters than it was for making it easier to forge.

I feel you’re pain buddy hopefully they’ll add more to the pc version I hit up tom French to ask but nothing and I hit up gamecheat13 the modder and he confirmed that he would add more features like offline mode so u don’t have to be connected to play forge which is an advantage over the console version

I would pay that if it meant I don’t have to biy an xbox

I don’t think anything should be added. H5 “on PC” is mainly just for the forgers. It’s not meant to be an actual game so to speak.

FTFY.

Which is honestly fair, given that it’s currently completely free, and we (the peasants) payed a full $60USD for it. (I payed AUD, but I digress.)

i hope halo 6 will have plenty of advantages over console if it happens. it’s hard for me to play halo now after getting a taste of the field of view slider in bf1 and tf2. everything feels so cramped and awkward. to my understanding, the pc version of halo 5 didn’t get the fov slider either.

It would have been/would be nice to have XBox-PC cross-play in Custom Games in H5|H5:F-PC. This way you might be able to convince some of your PC friends who may have been out of Halo for a while to give it another try.

PC gaming is over rated though, i still play my xbox more.

I’m not sure what the goal behind Halo 5 Forge was, but I don’t think it was ever meant to be a thing that would hold people’s attention. It was always marketed as Forge on PC, which would supposedly speed up the workflow for Forgers. The fact that custom games are in seems more like “eh, we’ll throw this in in case people want to have a bit of fun”. But I donät believe there are, or ever were, plans beyond that. It’s also possible that they were testing some aspects of porting Halo to PC to see how viable it is from a technical and design standpoint, so your best hope is probably for Halo 6 to have a proper PC release.

Yea I thought the halo gravemind leak was a halo 5 story dlc for both platforms with a halo 6 tease but sadly that wasn’t the case.

You can can go to google and look up exuberant halo 5 and this is a mod tool that will allow for fov adjustments and first person assasinations along with 3rd person gameplay for s hits and giggles.

Yea I’m hoping to see halo succeed and take it back to it old school support roots. As for halo 5 most of the hard work in porting the multiplayer is done. all we need is a playlist with progression or reward system if one modded can bring a bunch of features to halo 5 pc then I’m pretty sure 343 can tom French is the one that made it happen in the first place

I feel all my friends play on console except my colledge. Buddies

But most of the multiplayer is already ported it wouldn’t be hard to just add a playlist or ranked tbh

It’s not most of the multiplayer that’s been ported. The whole matchmaking system is absent from Halo 5 Forge, which would be necessary for any playlist (ranked or otherwise) to work… It was never supposed to be a full PC version of Halo; it was always advertised as being just the Forge experience (and by extension Custom Games) on PC.

It actually is most of the the multiplayer that got ported seeing how every map, game mode, and weapon is available on pc. The only thing missing is the matchmaking system like u said and that’s I would say 20% of the multiplayer while 80% is available right now.
