You may have heard a few familiar bits from the original trilogy in the Blue Team Opening Cinematic. It also contains a lot of homage to Halo 4’s musical variety, which the current composer was the secondary composer on.
Yet I’ve discovered that the composer also emulates Marty’s work from Halo: Reach from the ending of the Kraken Fight [SPOILERS FROM CAMPAIGN HERE].
Start at about 2:45 in the video and you’ll hear some familiar strings from Halo: Reach, most notably when Noble 6 first arrives at New Alexandria after Jorge’s death.
It’s so cool to me how 343i is pulling everything together from across every corner of the Haloverse’s games, books, and music.
