I have given 343 the benefit of the doubt too many times and every time they stab me in the back, they are just repeating the halo 5 life cycle all over again. Withhold content to release at a later time to pad out the games life cycle under the guise of “free content”. Forge and coop not being in at launch is unacceptable and WILL hurt the game, if you played halo 5 you will know this, you will see the signs and smell the bull manure from a mile away, forge and custom games was crippled by it not being in at launch and it never recovered, halo 5’s player numbers never recovered and just because halo infinite is free doesn’t mean it cannot die. 343 hasnt learned from any of their previous mistakes and its baffling especially since they promised they are listening to the community. Hope the Christmas sales are worth it.
I disagree with most of this.
It DOES worry me that the game isn’t complete at launch, and it’s missing co-op campaign, which has been in every Halo to date (yes, even Halo 5, though it was not split-screen). But I never saw Halo 5 as the failure everyone else did, and the fact that I had to wait for cool modes like Warzone did not destroy the game in my opinion.

As someone who clocked in over like 600 hours into halo 5 these things did impact the game, no btb at launch, no functioning warzone, players who dumped 100s of dollars into req packs for advantages, no custom browser, no forge, rank system was broken, armour was all locked behind loot boxes, missing 50% of previous halo game modes, missing key weapons and vehicles, the game was missing too much and we dont even know half the features halo infinite is going to have. All im saying is that i have 0 faith in 343 anymore, especially after all the recent news, and if this game releases in halo 5s state, its all over

See…but the thing is that we don’t know what’s coming. For now all we know that isn’t coming at launch is Forge and Co-op because those things aren’t at the quality level they want them to be. We don’t know how many maps are at launch, how many modes, if there will be warzone or firefight. We don’t even know how long the campaign is, for the amount of info we have there’s an awful lot of people going “nightmare scenario” on these forums lately. Relax and let’s see what news we do get in the 3 months leading to release. At least this time, 343 is being upfront with us, and telling us bad news instead of letting us learn about them at launch

Given 343’s track record of just leaving things out of the game, its safer to assume there’s less than more.
At least then you can be pleasantly surprised if they prove you wrong.

Halo 5 released as a shell, as long as Infinite has a lot of content already at launch, it won’t be H5 part 2.
