Halo 5 or Halo 5 Limited Edition

I’m very exited about the coming of Halo 5 and I want to Pre-Order it but I don’t know whether I should get the Standard Edition or the Limited Edition. I tested the Beta and I love the game and I’m happy with what 343 is doing. I’m leaning toward the Limited Edition but I want more details about the perks that come with buying the Limited Edition. Does anyone have a clue about the differences between the 2?

Hard to say what exactly is in the limited edition. So far all that’s been said is digital content, some exclusives, and a steelbox. I can’t remember exactly when the Halo 4 limited edition content was revealed, but it felt like it was released around May/June. So some time soon.

Hopefully Halo 5’s exclusive content will be more like Halo: Reach’s, rather than Halo 4’s. Reach we got Halsey’s journal, something very vital to the lore. Halo 4 we only got a few things that was for Spartan Ops rather than the campaign. Halo 4 also came with Forward Unto Dawn, so maybe Halo 5 will come with Hunt the Truth stuff.

I don’t plan on pre-ordering the Limited Edition until I know what I’m paying $100 for, and I’m certainly not paying more for the Limited Collector’s Edition (coughLegendary Editioncough). If you want my advice, I’d wait until the specific details are released.

I remember watching a video somewhere on YouTube about it but as far as I can remember I think you get the season pass maps like most Limited Editions for games and some extra new armor set.

That’s pretty standard. I know that Halo normally adds some or a bunch if extra stuff for limited editions (plus preorder stuff).

This is the first Halo game ill buy in my own place, since I have the money laying around I went for limited edition.

I just went with the limited edition myself mainly cause I could afford it.

i asked the same question to worker at gamestop he said just some exclusive content and a shiny steel cover that it

if you got money to burn go ahead

Like others have said there’s not a whole lot of details on the limited edition. However it is the version I pre-ordered. I think it’s safe to assume it comes with a unique armor set, a Season Pass for DLC, and some lore goodies. I’m not sure how much the lore means to you or unique armor, but if you like both then I think you should go for it.

My mindset is always “pre-order the biggest, baddest edition available before they get gobbled up because you can always cancel the pre-order if you don’t like the contents when they get announced”.

I’m surprised that the Limited Editions haven’t all been pre-ordered yet.
