Halo 5 is best
Halo 3 is, in my opinion, the best shooter ever made
Tough question honestly.
Halo 5 isn’t a complete package yet so can’t really judge.
Halo 3 had amazing features, but the gameplay itself is lacking in areas.
Halo 3 is my second favorite Halo, only because it’s the one I find most similar to the first.
Honestly; and this is coming from someone who had played all Halo games, even started on Release day of H:CE. Played all of them online.
I REALLY enjoy H5, I liked H3 and it was honestly the last Halo game I played online by myself; after that, they were boring to play alone and only fun with friends and/or family.
However, Halo 5, I enjoy playing it by myself also. So I’d say they are both amazing games, but different in nature. I will never forget the fun I had in H3 online alone, but it’s a different game. It’s not Halo 5. Halo 5 is not Halo 3.
They are two different games that play differently. Luckily. We can still play Halo 3 online, either on 360 or the One. And next year we can add Halo 5 to that list of games we can play online.

Halo 3 of course. Enjoyably, everything 343 has made up to this point is a far cry away from any classic Halo game. Even Reach. Lol

Not sure if troll because there is no competition between Halo 5 and 3. 3 is easily one of the best FPS games ever made and will ever be made.
Currently, 3. 5 isn’t completed yet, so if it has the best campaign of all time or something then it will easily take #1 on my list. 3 is #2, just because I have #1 empty until something that hits me to my core comes out, and I’ve had second thoughts about 2.
MP? Halo 3 without a doubt.
In terms of gameplay, I prefer 5. It is as yet incomplete and subject to change, though.

+1 and my overall experience with MP on Halo 3 is still some of the best to date on any game for me.
Halo 5 will get judged when the full game arrives. MP Beta didn’t really get played too much but fingers crossed the campaign is awesome
Halo 3 is my fav of the original 3 and I really enjoyed the beta. So I am happy I have both! But I love them for different reasons

the fact that you say this about an unreleased game scares me. You still have no idea how the final product will be out. If it’s anything like the beta I still prefer Halo 3. The ranked and social system still puts it light years ahead of Halo 5 because it was a brilliant system that 343 still ignores.
Your comment proves you’re still on the honey moon period or have some sick rose tinted glasses because no one can authoritatively say that one game is better than the other after playing it (especially an unfinished product) three weeks.
I thought Destiny was good at first too. First two weeks or so. Then i realized all the BS on disc cut-out content preceding the alpha that apparently couldn’t be finished, lack of a story in any way, and the endless grindfest.
I’m sure you’ve already pre-ordered the game, but look before you leap.

god I still remember switching between Halo 3, Call of Duty 4 and 5, and Battlefield Bad Company. Man now that was a fun time! Oh and Gears as well.
