Halo 5 only the 15th most played game on XB1 atm

According to the most popular games list on Xbox.com it is 15th right now behind the likes of Roblox and Battlefield 4 (a 3 year old game).

Destiny is 5th despite everyone claiming to hate that game and saying Bungie sucks now. Other shooters like Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege are 2nd and 7th respectively.

This doesn’t seem good at all for a Halo game and makes it hard to believe the stats 343 gave about it being more active than any Halo since 3. Reach didn’t fall out of the top 5 until 4 came out.

I can still find matches just fine in the playlists that I prefer, and if people don’t like it, don’t play it.

There, I just supported part of a rationale, and a viewpoint, which are both unpopular among certain groups of the Halo community. I accept this, and I’m going to sit and wait for the hate, mate.

Considering the Halo games are the only good single platform games Xbox has, this kinda dissapoints me. I would have got a PS4 were it not for Halo 5/MCC.

Cool, exactly where it’s been pretty much all year.

I know Id play it more if the game performed half way decent… Out of my friends I have on xbox only 16 of them got the game… And now out of that 16 only 2 are left playing it. Its a shame really. I actually like the game. When its performing somewhat decent…

Not the best we’ve seen from a Halo game.

That said, considering the bulk of the competition up there, 15th is still pretty good. A lot of the shooters will be up high because of related releases. (Rise of Iron for Destiny), Battlefield 1 for BF4, etc. Hype for the next game does bring people back to the older ones.

That said, it’s probably going to get blasted out of the top twenty soon by the holiday releases.

The reason Halo 5 is going down in the ranks is because of the anti-consumer stuff 343 is trying to pull off. Month of mythic for example. Req packs in general. Warzone is a completely pay to win system. I don’t care if you can earn the reqs without having to spend money. The fact of the matter is that someone with a fat wallet can dish out money to get something faster than you. That is without a doubt a pay to win system. If Halo 5 was free to play then it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. But we all payed the same $60 to enjoy the game. Not all of us can afford to shell out the extra dough to get those fancy new guns and armor. Also not all of us have the time to grind out req points to get the packs. I wish it would go back to the halo 3 system where you actually had to accomplish something in game to get an armor set.

I never have trouble finding games and never match the same kids even at high Onyx so I don’t care

343 at least seems to be supporting the competitive scene so there’s hope for the future

Battlefield 1 is more likely to displace battlefield 4 (thats weird to say) then it is to displace Halo 5. Also poor DOOM and Battlefront.

DOOM had a awesome campaign but the multiplayer was really meh so I’m not surprised to see no one playing it. I’m actually surprised Battlefront is still in the top 20 at all.

yeah that surprised me too. I also thought Fallout 4 would be higher.

*edit It will be interesting to see how many Blops 3 players move to IW.
