So we played the beta to Halo 5, say the Alpha version of it. I enjoyed it very much and with it closed awhile back and 343i making prior adjustments to the game, do you the community, would you like them to release to play the beta one more time to see some of the adjustments? I know it is much and I doubt it would happen but I would like to play on the beta stages before release to see any changes prior to the Alpha beta.
I know they released Warzone through videos and people actually playing it, but I believe the community deserves just as much as the next guy whenever it comes to seeing some of the adjustments they did to the game to help fine tune the game once more. I don’t see it as fair if some of these gamers who write articles and so on get privileges over us the gaming community and that how they get to.enjoy certain aspects that we don’t get access to.
So what do you guys think? Should 343i release a final beta for us to play before release? I think so, though I know they don’t owe us anything.
H5 releases in about 3 months. It is WAY to late for a beta now. The beta would have had to release in April to be effective. They should have had a Warzone beta but as I said, its way too late. A beta at this point would only be a glorified demo resulting in little to no changes to the full version.

Actually, plenty of betas come out around now. Halo 5 simply had an unusually early beta. I mean, Destiny came out in September and its beta was in August.
However, 343 have already said there won’t be another beta.

No. They got what they needed from the beta we had. Another beta would just eat away at the time and resources they could (and should) be spending to make the final game as great as possible.

There’s a reason it was so early. So they could implement as much of the feedback as they could.
It’s a HUGE development overhead to develop, release, and oversee a beta.
As much as I would love to play more H5 before launch, I would greatly prefer that they dedicate their remaining time and resources to finishing and polishing the game and another beta would significantly cut into that with pretty minimal development advantages. So, no.

The beta isnt for enjoyment, its so we dont get a broken or unbalanced game at launch. People seem to think they are just free demos these days. We’re not getting another one. They arent rewards or anything. Sure they work like a demo, but its for the game, not the people. What your asking for is another demo. Not for balancing and bugs, just for the fun of it.
I would love a Warzone beta close to launch for preview program members, purely as a server stress test / bug finding to avoid any potential launch woes.
But I honestly don’t think it’ll happen.

I have been in 24 betas across multiple platforms. In order for a beta to actually be efficient and not just be a glorified demo, it must come out about 6 months before the game releases.
H5 having the arena beta that early was one of THE smartest decisions they have ever made. They should have followed that up around April with a Warzone beta.

For a server stress test theyd have to have more than prieview members. They might just want to get everyone on, in promise of some exclusive reward, and see how many people it takes to break halo 5.
