Hoenstly, with the way they are adding every Halo game Chronologically, I’d assume they will work on it after H4 is released. Which shouldnt take that long. I estimate H4 will release on pv early next year.
Especially with the news of a delay for Infinite, I’m wondering if it’s feasible for 343 to spend the resources at this point for an H5 port to PC especially considering the core gameplay system already exists on Win 10. I know obviously all hands should be on deck to finish Infinite to make sure everything gets polished to an extreme degree but I’d be curious to see how much work is actually involved in porting the campaign, warzones, and matchmaking systems over.
The delay with Infinite doesn’t open up resources to work on other games

Yeah, but atm there’s a team working on the MCC port separate from the Infinite team. So the question is what they’ll do after Halo 4 released on PC? Will they join work on Infinite, or will they port Halo 5 to PC? Honestly, with the delay of Infinite, that’s the perfect opportunity to keep people interested by releasing Halo 5 in the meantime. If they add cross play, that would be the perfect way to populate servers and getting new players on board before Infinite releases.
Halo 5 should be on PC but not be add to the MCC. It feels like too different from the classic halo games.
I’m 100% in favor of it being a paid MCC add on. Doing a full port with the help of Splash Damage could really bump that games potential to the next level. Think about all the issues they had getting the game to 60fps, having to adjust the resolution in assets in the distance to achieve the 60fps, all that…just poof…gone. I personally loved H5, and would love to see it on PC in a big way.

But halo 4 fits in?

Halo 4 fits more in Halo mcc. First reason is that, Halo 4 is totally about Master chief. Second reason is that its gameplay is closer to the first trilogy than the gameplay from Halo 5. And it may be very subjective but I found Halo 5 much more different from the other Halo game than Halo 4.

Halo 5 also for Windows Store as well for streamlining.
What they should do is port it to the new engine, add split screen and do a re-release on console and pc. Someone already said halo 5 has been tested on the new engine to make sure split screen worked, so in theory they have already done some of the work.
Just let another dev team port the game and then release and profit.
Yes, please. I would certainly purchase Halo 5 if it were to come to PC. Multiplayer with mouse and keyboard would be amazing in this game.
I know they already said that they are not working on Halo 5 and that the focus is Halo infinite, but I want to leave my support for a port on PC. There are a lot of things that I don’t like about the game (for example the art style in general), but the MP was really good. I love Halo 3 but I miss be able to play some games of Halo 5 (im not gonna pay Gold for only Halo 5).

No one expects a halo 5 pc release at the moment due to what you said but they could get the team porting the mcc to pc to do halo 5 and even halo wars 2 once the mcc is finished.

I think it makes too much sense for them to deny not working on preparing to port Halo 5 Guardians to PC, the game needs a bigger crowd in the multiplayer department on a new platform for longevity purposes (its stagnated being on Xbox One now still). Since Halo Infinite has been delayed to 2021, the MCC team after they are done with the main games getting ported within the next 2-3 months, they should transition developers over to other porting projects as I really think 343 should continue funding more development on ports of the old titles. Honestly we need all Halo titles now on all three of the main platforms (Xbox, Windows Store and Steam), no more being selective on which title to play where, we should have a choice now where to play if all the games are on all of the those platforms (MCC, Spartan Strike/Assault, Halo Wars DE/2)! Crossplay and Progression needs to be a thing as well if Halo 5 is brought to PC to Xbox One.

That’s what I hope, but since infinite is coming to pc theres no real point in playing halo 5 unless for the campaign
Does anyone know if you can play halo 5 on pc with xcloud when it comes out September 15th? I hope so but it’s probably going to be the same way you can play Bloodborne on pc with PSNOW
MCC is a pretty unique thing in gaming, imo. The idea of collecting previous games from a series into one place is what drew me to Halo in the first place. I’d love to see future Halo games move to it as the next one arrives. I’d be totally willing to pay for a DLC to MCC that adds Halo 5 to it.
There are people who say it would get too big, but the point of MCC is you can pick what you install, so I don’t really see the problem.
We can only hope it comes to MCC but with the game being TOO BIG for most people to even have cause they can’t just get more storage like a normal person would. It’s all pretty much a matter of the campaign being too beefy and the multiplayer having a completely different meta and the engine being dookie.
id also want it to come to pc as well either through mcc or released in its own game thing on steam or windows store and glad to see in general the halo games on pc brings back many good memories

There is already a version of H5 you can play on PC, just not many people play it.
