> With MCC being on PC, I am all for Halo 5 to be on PC (at least the campaign). Would be nice to have most/all of the games on PC too. Side-note: I just learned Infinite is coming to PC as well? Well that’s awesome too. Bring on the Halo 5.
I would absolutely love Halo 5 to be released on PC, it’s fast-paced multiplayer is perfect for it. I’m already having so much fun with Reach on PC, and now that MCC is coming over to PC I’m sure many others like myself are going to be playing through all the Halo campaigns for the first time, and I know many would be very disappointed to find out they are missing out on a full campaign which could be linked with the storyline of Infinite.
343, I really hope you guys do port this game to PC. I’m sure porting it to PC will make the player base explode. Considering us PC gamers will have access to CE/2/3/ODST/Reach/4 and Infinite, Halo 5 is the missing link. I know there’s a Windows 10 Forge version for free, but as someone who played the original Halos on the first Xbox as well as up to Reach on 360, I’d love a chance to play through one of the Halo games I missed.

I dont even think that they are gonna implement cross play at the launch, plus anti cheats exist.

This is correct, the Steam version of MCC already has anti cheat in all matchmaking. However there is a non anti cheat mode exclusively for mods so im assuming anyone who wants to hack/mod can use the offline anti-cheat free version if it allows custom games. Kind of like how some hackers do hack vs hack on non anti cheat private servers

Yeah I hear PC claim there is anti cheat/hacks but all I see and hear from PC is about using chests, hacks, and mods… As long as it takes 343 to do stuff they cheats and hacks will always be ahead of them. I hope console players never have to play against PC in multiplayer. If console players want to play against PC players in customs that’s fine but I would never want to match or play against them in random match making. I am currently playing RDR2 on Xbox one and I am in a Facebook group for the game. There A LOT of complaints of the cheats and hacks that is going on in the PC version of the game.

Console hackers exist too, you should know this if you ever played World at War and MW2 on Xbox 360… Hacking is far from exclusively a PC thing.
Rockstar has terrible anti cheat so idk why you brought RDR2 into this. The PC port of that game is trash in the first place.
The PC version of MCC has anti cheat, whether or not it’ll filter every hack is one thing, but I severely doubt hacks on Halo 5 PC would be something worth worrying over. Considering 343 has been very aggressive in ending the AFK/boosting problem on MCC I highly doubt it would take them long to deal with it.
Plus I’m pretty sure crossplay will be 100% optional, just like the new CoD.

There are way way less hacks on console… In fact I have yet to see any one hack the Xbox one yet. Anti cheats are way stronger on console than PC.
Even if Halo 5 came out this year on PC before Halo Infinite, I don’t think lots a PC gamers would play it because there’s already the MCC right now and Halo Infinite will drop out late 2020 on both Xbox console and PC so if Halo Infinite turns out to be great, then Halo 5 won’t have good reasons to be played on PC besides it’s awful campaign.

I haven’t encountered any hackers on PC in a long time anyways.
You’re being alarmist for no reason, the anti-cheat system that MCC uses is just fine.
yeh if they dont release it b4 infinite comes out then i dont see them doing it.Why would you pick up h5 pc after halo infinite just came out?
It a be nice for the pc collection i guess, forge and mp but thats about it. better they just forget that one and move on.
There are no plans to put Halo 5 on PC right now and it’s not going to hot drop this year. The teams are focused on Infinite and MCC, Halo is in sustain right now with only playlist and matchmaking tweaks being done.
Halo 5 needs to come to PC, either as a separate app or as a part of MCC. Doesn’t make any sense that Halo Reach, 1, 2, 3, 4 and Infinite will be available on PC but not 5… does not make any sense and they know it.
I would buy Halo 5 on Steam and retail disc. I would like them to release Halo 5 on PC when they are done updating the game on Xbox. If they do release it I hope it comes with forge, theatre (3D theatre like in older Halos with 3D films and 3D clips), custom game browser, server browser, cross play with Xbox, bots for custom games, and it comes with all the forge maps 343 made for the game.
I would prefer if this was released seperately from MCC and be part of MCC.
I actually think a re-release of the game not just on PC but on Xbox Series X might not be a bad idea. Even though the game will be backwards compatible with the Series X out of the box, the upgrades for the Series X won’t be a bad idea, like 8k 120 fps support (basically close to PC version stats). Low latency is on the cards as well. So maybe a release on PC mainly should happen in 2021? Probably at least a year after Infinite launches to stay as far away from that game as possible to sell that game as much as possible. After this, we need a release of Spartan Strike on Xbox One (probably on the Series X as well, it was even promised back in 2015 it would come out on the Xbox One but was dropped due to low sales) and Halo Wars 2 over to Steam (and Halo 5 Guardians on Windows Store and Steam) and a Controller bug fix for the Steam version for both Spartan Assault and Strike, then you can play every Halo game you want on any Microsoft Platform you want to play them on!
