I don’t think so, I mean, they need to work on Halo Infinite for at least 10 years, they couldn’t keep upgrading the MCC, 343 soon let it die MCC like the did with H5.
I would love Halo 5 on PC, but with Infinite coming out, I doubt I would even play Halo 5 other than for story for a refresher.
I can see 343 constantly adding to Halo Infinite similar to Bungie with Destiny 2, the game constantly evolving and growing.
it’s garbage on the xcloud from what many people say, lag and controller only, less than ideal for a pc gamer.
it needs a proper port.

You’re definitely right dude, but 343 doesn’t have plans to do some proper port like you said, Halo 5 was abandoned some years ago, you can use Xcloud or moving on to Halo Infinite where we is more ideal (even better than MCC) for a pc gamer dude.

Yeah, the only way would be using a VPN but that bring you a lot of lag, make it impossible to play or enjoy it. What region is?
Would it be worth it for 343 to devote resources to a PC port at this time? I think if it does happen, it will be well after Infinite launches, maybe even after Forge/Co-Op are added. Or just not at all, given fan reception

Oh yeah, I don’t think they would or even could add H5 to the MCC anyway, IF H5 comes to PC in the distant future it would be as a standalone game.
As others have said at least we can play it with Xcloud, I’m from an unsupported region and I had to use a VPN to connect to the American servers, as you might imagine it was a laggy experience, due to the distance alone I had over 150ms.
I was able to finish it though including the collectibles… normal difficulty though, legendary or heroic felt too difficult with a controller and the lag… and the awful bitrate.

But, people like you and me who don’t have Xcloud, we are few people who demand H5 on PC. Even if you can read some closed post about some people who ask about H5 port to PC, and they always respond “Xcloud”, they never had the intention to port H5 on PC, never, I saw so many post about this topic and they have never claimed that they think to port H5 to PC.
The population has dropped on H5 dude, there a lot of people playing Warzone FF (Grinding to 152) and Custom Game, if we would want some Halo 5 port to PC just for that… For this we already have Halo 5 Forge, and there we can play Custom Games like H5 of Xbox One. About campaigns, you know that the lowest point of Halo 5 was the campaign, the majority of the people hated your campaign, are you really willing to give them the same campaign ported to PC? That’s why I want to focus on enjoying the Halo Infinite Campaign. Let’s leave H4 where it is right now.
I don’t think 343 is remotely interested in bringing this game to PC, would be nice though the only reason I have an Xbox one is because I can’t get it his halo on PC lol

That’s why I’m saying a port in the distant future when Infinite is already established, we are already used to waiting more than a decade for the sequels(Halo 3 and 4)… sadly.
As -Yoink- as the community might think the H5 campaign was there are a lot of us that actually want to play it properly on PC, yes, they might not have plans for it in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2026, but who knows after that.

Somehow I managed to comple the campaign on easy my internet is awful
Just pitching in again, they already have a good start with Halo 5 Forge on the Windows Store. But they might need to get a few developers to bring that version up to Halo 5 Guardians level of content. Id still really want to see it though even after Infinite. I find it VERY unlikely I would be playing Infinite alone for 10 years. But thats just what I think.

I agree with this, while I am sure I will love Infinite, I have always liked to go between different Halo Games, and I would very much appreciate being able to switch between H5 and H Infinite when I choose to. While Halo 5 may be the weakest of the mainline Halo Series, if you don’t think so much about it being a Halo game, its actually pretty fun.
I’d imagine IF 343 was to bring Halo 5 to MCC, it wouldn’t be any time soon. To start, Infinite is going to take the highest precedence amongst all other Halo titles. COOP and Forge for Infinite are going to be released in seasons 2 and 3. This is at least half a year before 343 considers working on other big projects in my mind… Honestly, I believe 343 would be more interested in working on crossplay coop campaign for MCC before implementing H5…

Cant argue with that
people keep forgetting they employ outside / seperate teams for the ported games, so 343 main devs can concentrate on the next big game.

creative assemble developed halo wars 2 and i think also did the pc uwp port
ruffian games, splash damage and possible over developers ported the mcc to pc
so if halo 5 does get ported to the pc at some point, it’ll be done by any number of outside developer teams.
the big hurdle to overcome would be how to hangle the req / mtx garbage and the fact forge and warzone firefight can’t be played offline on the xb1. (both of which were stupid design choices, along with no split screen)
