What kind of nonsense comment is that. Halo 5’s gameplay IS its biggest strength and is considered one of the best multiplayer games of last gen by many. It’s very well balanced and makes you actually feel like a super soldier. I don’t know what corner of their behind people reach to come up with these statements and present them as facts, if you don’t like it don’t think about it and don’t comment about it, it’s simple. Whether it compares to past Halo games is irrelevant, the gameplay is great on its own.

> Yea, you may have not enjoyed it, but some people do and sadly, it’s still a halo experience that people want to play. I’ve tried the Halo 5 Forge on PC and it’s pretty fun, which is why I’m even here trying to get it to pc. It has the potential to be really fun for players. To be honest, some players like the new fast paced mechanics of halo 5 than the older style of Halo 3. Not saying that Halo 3 is flawed or anything (Please don’t kill me) but people just like it. I think Halo 5 deserves somewhat of a second chance on PC (And steam) as I think it fits with PC’s more fast paced and snappy controls which makes the controlling pretty good. I just hope they put in the features that the game needs to be good on pc than just another shoddy console port, if they finally listen to us.
There is nothing sad about it to be fair. If people enjoy it and want to play it then why does it bother other people so much? Halo 4 was a much bigger departure from traditional Halo because of loadouts and killstreaks, and I remember people sh*t on it for a long time. Now it’s on PC after all these years and I see so much appreciation for it. It’s amazing how there is always a “disgrace” period where people are bitter that a game didn’t meet their expectations, and then once a game passes that period people find new appreciation for it. Halo 5 has just passed that period imo, all it needs is a boost like 4k/120fps/PC/crossplay and I guarantee it will attract a new community. MS really screwed up by now investing on this as soon as Halo Infinite was delayed. I imagine they didn’t have enough time to release it by holiday season but they should have planned it for this spring. It would have been the perfect gateway into Halo Infinite.

Why even post in the Halo 5 forum if you dislike it so much?
I just hope they decide for Halo 5 to get ported to PC in 2021. All games are now on PC except that one.

I can see it happening at some point, but I don’t think there’s any chance of it happening this year
Bring on Halo 5 for PC!
Just finished playing Halo MCC coop and it was awesome and now we want to play Halo 5 on PC.
Please comment if you want to play Halo 5 on PC, I’m sure 343 will port it if there’s high enough demand.

I would buy a Halo 5 PC port instantly if it became a thing. I would easily throw 40 bucks at it even being an old game just to have it on PC.
I want h5 on pc. Doesn’t make sense to me that the most modernized halo to date is not on pc.

I mean the fact that 343 ported MCC instead of H5 first makes sense due to the legacy games having much more support and interest from the Halo community, but now that MCC is ported we want H5 ported lol. I mean frankly while I would prefer H5 on Steam, I would have no issues if H5 for PC was exclusively released on the Microsoft store either. Also if the rumored November release for Halo Infinite is to be believed, then we only have about 7-months to go until the most modernized Halo to date will be on PC.
It would suck pretty bad if they ported halo 5 and made it a store exclusive, they already tried that with forge and it was a flop, mostly because it was not the complete game. I never even downloaded it to try it out as i do not like the windows store or anything uwp. It’s a terrible platform for gaming on pc, it’s mostly xbox and mobile stuff. The games that are ported to pc never run decently on uwp (unless that’s changed)
Just port it (the whole game) for the store and steam and rake in the double profits. Everybody wins then.
I would love to go back on H5 on PC.
that being said, I guess we are lucky to have the MCC on Steam.

Indeed we are…however there is a gapping hole of missing story / plot between 4 and infinite for pc players. Makes little sense to put reach, halo ce, 2, 3, odst and 4 on pc but then skip 5.
We all know by now (i hope) that 5 will NEVER be added to the MCC as it was a stand alone game and the start of the new saga / story etc. Plus it’s over 100gb, just one game but still over a 100gb!
The MCC was only designed for the legacy games. 1, 2, 3 & 4. (reach and odst was added as it completed the collection and made a lot of sense to include them, being also old games.)
Porting 5 to pc shouldn’t be as time consuming as porting the MCC as it’s just one game. They already did the h5 forge port (such as it was) and because it was a windows 10 store exclusive it basically left the door open for a full port later for steam and the store.
I’m hoping they announce a port sometime between now and infinite’s release window so we can catch up on the whole story so far. It would not make sense to port it after Infinite is out. It would also drive up hype for Infinite. Get the team who ported the MCC to PC to do it!

Here’s the thing though… if they had planned to release 5 on PC before Infinite’s launch that wouldn’t have worked because 4 only released on MCC after infinite’s original launch window and I doubt they’d have had time to properly get to work on that since the delay. They’re prioritising the Publishing team’s time to support MCC.
Frankly Halo Wars 2 probably has the overall more relevant story to players pre-infinite and we already know that isn’t getting a steam release when it’s already working on PC.
I just can’t see it happening
Infinites original launch window was only set then because they wanted it out with the Xbox Series X, they were trying to rush it out the door. The MCC porting probably would’ve gone by quicker if not for the pandemic. It’s quite possible they might of announced a h5 port in that timeframe but ran out of time.
If they can port part of the game to pc, they can surely port the whole game. We all know Halo Online was them testing halo out on the pc long before the mcc came to pc. Anything’s possible. I’d like to believe we will get a port soon.
Afterall, they kept denying the mcc was coming to pc for months if not years after it was released on the xbox one. Who’s to say they aren’t sitting on a pc port of halo 5 right now? They’ve been saying the same things about halo 5 not coming to pc like they said with the mcc, yet here we are.
It makes loads of sense they ported the mcc first so everyone could play from the beginning right up through halo 4. Not bringing 5 to pc would be a poor decision. (no matter how much a few keep hating on it) It deserves a proper non uwp port.
Not everyone wants a console just for halo.
Again its only a workaround but starting today xCloud for PC is now in beta and by invite only, although I have not received an invite yet the day is not over. I expect xCloud for PC will exit beta in a few months and be available for all GamePass Ultimate subscribers, then one will simply need an active subscription, an xbox controller, and a decent internet connection to play H5 on PC with no physical console. Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) on Xbox.com
Well I got an invite to the beta Xbox Cloud Gaming for PC, and thought I would share the glory of Halo 5 on PC with no Xbox console involved. All I am using is my PC, Internet connection, Xbox controller connected to my PC, and Gamepass Ultimate Subscription. Again I would prefer a native PC H5 port, but this is a great work around in the mean time. While I have no idea when Xbox Cloud Gaming for PC will exit beta and be available for all Gamepass Ultimate subscribers, I would guess 2 months tops. From what I understand, the beta is only outputting in 720p, but there are plans for it to be upgraded to 1080p, even so I don’t think it looks to bad, have a look. Last thing is that you will nice some intermittent jerkiness due to lag, I have used other game streaming services without dealing with lag, so I believe the lag is caused by this service still being in beta, so we should see some improvement on that front in the future as well.
Looks like links are blocked so you will have to copy past.
Unless there are some definite lag improvements to the Xbox Cloud Gaming for PC system, when it comes to H5 multiplayer on PC, I would recommend sticking with the free Halo 5 Forge for windows 10 for now. I was on it today and saw at least 3 available games in the customs browser at any one time and I got pretty good performance on my computer.
meh, cloud gaming is at best sorta interesting. until you realise you can’t own X game for real or play offline because it’s totally online. I honestly don’t see the point. Where is it gonna be useful? if you are at home, why bother? when you can just fire up a proper copy of X game. I guess it could be useful if you don’t have a console but still, you would be paying for basically nothing.
I’d much prefer playing a real copy of halo 5 on pc, that i could play whenever i want and offline. which is why i’ll never sub to cloud gaming. it’s just a gimmick like stadia.
It would be good if that happens, but honestly it would take a long time to have it on pc
If 343 really does read these forms, please, Halo 5 deserves a PC port (and no, cloud gaming doesn’t count), although some people didn’t enjoy its story and gameplay style, there are a lot of people who did, and its plot is still important to Halo Infinite, the created uprising is a really exciting concept that I’m pretty sure is still going to be supported in Halo Infinite (based on that Halsey Journal that was in last months update). Also, it is a unique style on the advanced mobility craze, being more subdued, but also powerful.
HALO 5 NEEDS A PC PORT PROPER
