I think they know by now. People have been asking loads even before mcc got annouced for pc.
did a little searching around, found a tweet from sketch last year something like they cant At The Moment because they’re busy with MCC and Infinite, then said never say never. sounds like they can do it, maybe if they cut back a little on mcc content.
Like I’ve been saying, they should absolutely STOP making all these pathetic excuses to not bring H5 to PC. It can’t even be doomed to stay on Xbox only forever!
Face it, Infinite is never going to recover, it’s a huge disaster (which is an understatement).
i completely agree, infinite has so many problems it’s unbelievable. i want them to just cut their losses with infinite and just have it serve as a learning experience.
At this point, the only reason why there still is no proper PC Port of the whole Halo 5 Guardians on PC is more of a Business Decision at this point, its pretty clear that this is the case. The main reason is they want to focus on Infinite as the main game they are working on and (I am purely guessing here), they may have given the MCC team as much time as possible to work on any remaining cut content or new things still left to add to MCC, Once the MCC team has been freed up from this game’s development (I hope the final set of patches will be to do big bug squashing passes on the game so it’s as polished as possible on all platforms), then they can move onto Halo 5 for doing a PC port (and maybe doing a short live service for the game post release on PC once it comes out). If they can afford financially to bring MCC to PC and Halo Infinite to PC, they absolutely can do the same for Halo 5 (honestly Halo 5 needs the least amount of work to bring to PC since the Forge mode would act as the base already in the settings except for Widescreen support, Unlocked FPS support and Crossplay support would need to be added to Halo 5 for all modes). Right now, I think its probably a Manpower issue as well at 343 since they are under a hiring freeze (but I still wonder why can’t 343 just contract out an outside studio to make the port right now?) with Microsoft.
from that tweet i found it seems like the only issue is they’re focusing on MCC and Infinite right now, obviously the solution would be to drop Infin-i mean MCC but they definitely need to fix some bugs before they start work on a completely different game. honestly the only thing i want for 5 is just some new features for campaign and mp, yeah enhanced graphics would be nice but i mainly want real new gameplay features, nothing crazy like the flood of content MCC has gotten.
