in short this forum post is a look into a great and possible what-if. A pitch if you would like to call it that.
Halo 3: ODST served as a unique tie-in explaining the events between Halo 2 & 3 on Earth and introduced the viewpoints of everyone’s favorite shock troopers, the hell jumpers. With the events of 5 happening, I’d like to see some old characters return to highlight the direness of the situation and add further the depths of the story
With the event of Cortana deploying the Guardians, Dutch feels the need to exit retirement to lead a small anti-forerunner resistance on Mars with his top liutenants being a recently pardoned Spartan IV, Michael “Mickey” Crespo and Dutch’s wife, Gretchen. With Mars falling under complete forerunner law, the public is under great distress and looks to the resistance to liberate them from their forerunner opressors. The campaign will involve a lot of exploration of Losantiville (Dutch’s home) and interactions with Marine/army/resistance forces that were stationed there at the time such as Pete Stacker and Chips Dubbo. Later on, they they stumble upon a UNSC-lead counter op lead by a Spartan fireteam under the command of Romeo. Romeo, still ticked at Mickey for the events of the comics, Romeo refuses to talk to him. the group is taken aboard the infinity which serves as the last Command HQ of all UNSC forces and highlights linking up with Fireteam Osiris and Blue Team to create a military campaign to lead into Halo 6.

thats actually not a bad idea honestly. tweak it a little bit but it could work.

Buck is on Sanghelios though so maybe at the end, a squad reunion…minus rookie though. still salty myself. ;(

If I could reunite all of Alpha-nine (Buck and friends) I would do it in a heartbeat.
we need more ODSTs in general, hell rather see ODST AIs instead of marines in warzone, or have a ODST AI boss spawn, that be cool!

The Marines in warzone might as well be ODS, those guys have got the drop on me many a time for crazy reasons.

My buds and I were joking about this today but it is actually a really cool idea.

Plus they can take your shields down so quickly with those AR’s
I like the idea, bring back Dutch and make him Next gen pretty, his model in ODST was rather lacking…
Anyway, I’d like to keep this as non Spartan as possible, nothing against Spartans, just the ODST need their time to shine alone

exactly, the appeal of Chief was the belief that he was the last spartan, combine the with interactions with Marines/ troopers you had some funny memories. Now it’s like, oh you’re a spartan too. that’s cool, bro. I wish they focused on UNSC army, I would love too see how they expand on the UNSC army airborne.
I’m fairly certain that Mickey isn’t married, and that it is, in fact, Dutch, who is married to Gretchen. She probably wouldn’t be returning to service, since she lost her leg in combat.

Yeah its always the Marines or Navy (Spartan II’s or III’s)
I barely know anything about Army or Airforce (if that’s still a thing)
I think they should have two campaigns-a covenant one (fighting on sanghelious and also covenant have drop pods so that could work) and a unsc one clearing up on meridian.
