Okay, hear me out. So obviously 343 has learned from their mistakes (Halo Wars 2 is proof) and they’ve started giving us what we want. How about instead of an immediate sequel, they take their time on the game and allow a smaller developer to give us another ODST spin-off, except they go balls to the wall on a horror element. Imagine your team is sent to an outpost that went dark or you attack a rogue covenant ship just to find it nearly empty. And the game uses a 2 person co-op squad mechanic. I truly believe if done right, a truly terrifying Halo flood game could be made, but I feel you need to be just a normal human for it to work. I mean, imagine the possibilities of such a game. Running for your life, using scarce ammo, and sneaking past flood forms attempting to stop it from spreading and also slowly learning how it arrived. It could even potentially set up Halo 6, and the Logic plague. Thoughts?
An ODST duo against the flood with different forms? I think not, sorry. If its two spartans then they can survive a swarm of flood. But ODST, no. Its quite hard to sneak up on flood forms unless you are the arbiter in H2. With just 1 infection form that sees you, the whole flood in the area will be alerted.
