My analogy works either way. Halo 4 is the most hated, badly received Halo game, even though it grossed more than 300$ in it’s opening week (a record for the franchise) and had more than 1 million players playing within the first 24 hour.
Wanted =/= successful.

I never said any of those things but okay.

Now let me tell you we are playing video games which are art.
So if you then check the word performance it is an act of an artist.
Each artist is different, sometimes it fits your taste sometimes it don’t.
What I see out of your interpretation is…
You look at it like at an investment a possible share holder would do.
You do not get any money out of it.
Its interesting that you try since this is supposed to be your relaxing time on a console.
However, art is always open to be liked or not ones it is seen.
You do not say a painting is bad after you saw a view lines.
You wait for the artist to finish cause trust me, when I paint no one can tell what it is in the end.
They are always all shocked so I know what I talk about.
Now back to Halo.
All this means I can in NO way say ANYTHING about the performance of Halo 5 you are talking about.

Because you saw a view lines aka the short Beta?
All I can do is take the word you use and prove to you that you have no ground you can stand on to use this form of critic, for now.

It’s an analogy of depicting art to video games, which video games lately have been considered pieces of human art. Art of course is very subjective in nature, essentially how video games are to a personal play style. You can go deeper on that analogy but that’s off topic kind of.

While I may end up buying H5 since at least I have some reassurance that if it releases completely broken at least it will eventually get fixed like MCC that doesn’t mean I trust them to get it right the first time. Regardless I will never pre-order any 343 game ever.

True, but Captain Price comes from a franchise that hasn’t improved its garbage since 2008, except those fishies. Those fish are lightyears ahead of the competition. I think H5 will turn out fine on day 1.
