Okay, so the title is weird but I’ve been having troubles with my DISC version of halo 5. When I load it up it crashes right when the 343 logo is appearing. I can some times play and sometimes not. I have also found if you hold the power button down until the Xbox powers off and you unplus the main power source to the Xbox and the plug it back in it works, but its only 50%! Is there anything wrong with my game or my disc drive. *My disc for the game is unscratched like new so its not that.
50% percent downloaded? If so you need to just download the whole game because it won’t work at 50%.
Xbox one disc based games don’t actually play off of the disc, they play off of the installed file so they are functionally the same as downloaded games with the major exception being you have to have the disc in the tray to play.

- are you connected to the internet? - can you play matchmaking when you are able to boot past the 343 logo? - how long have you had the game? - how long has this problem been occuring? - do you have an external hard drive? Starsmer, I’ve heard that halo 5 has to be installed to the internal drive to work properly. Try moving a game on your internal to your external to make room, and then install halo 5 to the internal hard drive. Lemme know if that works!
same problem. And if it does load past that point, It’s very glitchy (examples on my feed). Only started since i d/l this last update. Even tried reinstalling from scratch. Also, as the MS logo plays, getting some strange artifacts in the animation. Im also playing from disk (clean), played on my orig system just fine. Hadn’t played on my 1S until I saw the update was available, hasn’t worked.

Played on old system (Initial release) fine. Moved Ext HD to new 1S sys with games ‘Installed’. All other games work fine. Updated H5, fails to load several times. Reluctantly reinstall from disk and dl update again. Still fails. Did load once but got glitches posted. All other games still fine.

I do have internet connection, I can sometimes get past it if I’m lucky, I had the for about 1 year now, its happened for about 4 months now, no its only in my original hard drive.

No that’s not it have had this game for a year now so its defiantly fully downloaded.

What?
Hi, so I had halo 5 downloaded to my xbox…I moved it to my external hard drive and now it won’t launch. After the 343 screen I see the loading thing in the bottom left corner like it’s loading but then just goes back to the Xbox menu. Is there anything I can do?

Do you get an error message at all?

Reinstall your game or move it back to your internal and try again.
If you still have issues, post up a new thread rather than post in an old one.
