Hear me out guys; I’ve played Halo since I was little. I loved playing the games and learning about the lore. I’ve even read some of the books. Whenever a new Halo comes out, my friend and I play the campaigns together before we explore the other parts of the game. We’ve done this since Halo 3 came out. After the big failure of MCC we had doubts about Halo 5. 343’s Hunt the Truth quickly laid those doubts to rest. The story of it was so good and I quickly found myself immersed into the hype. But when I played the campaign I was trying to figure out when HTT even happened. 343 hyped the tension between Chief and Locke only to have them fight for thirty seconds. How disappointing 343.
However I must say that I was THOUROUGHLY disappointed in not only the Gameplay of Halo 5, but also the amount of time it took us to complete the campaign. The 15 “missions” we played took us five and a half hours to complete on normal. On top of that we took a 30-minute break for food, so lets say 5 hours.
Another area where I felt deceived was the REQ system. When 343 released Guardian’s beta they had me under the impression they were finally retuning to the old arena-style gameplay I loved. Even though the REQ system is warzone only, I still find it quite alien.
Halo is just not Halo anymore. I realize that yes games do have to change. But there’s a line between change, and the game not being itself anymore. For example: lets say you eat cheerios for breakfast every morning. You love cheerios. Now lets say the producers of cheerios are leaving and replacing themselves with a newer company to produce cheerios (this is just an example guys bear with me) now you loved the classic taste of cheerios right? Now lets say this new company in charge of your favorite cereal decides to put raisins in every box. Now I don’t know about you guys, but I’d be pissed. Just like I’m pissed about Halo 5.

P2) You can’t do more arena that the actual arena mode lol… I don’t know what is an Arena for you, but the actual team arena is an arena, and breakout is the most arenish arena than any other halo MP.

By referring to arena, he’s mentioning it in the Classic Halo Arena style. Not the actual definition of arena.
“You don’t like 343i for some reason” Well they have false advertised three games in a row. You saying “But what they did is very good with Halo.” is an opinion so how are you making an argument against making opinions by making an opinion? It’s actually quite ironic.
Halo 5 has received a lot of negative feedback, even huge Halo fans with YouTube channels, and close ties with 343i aren’t praising the game that much. You would be kinda ignorant, if you turned your back to the facts of how 343 has mishandled what was once a large franchise. Don’t let their latest “Best selling Halo” confuse you, there are a lot more Xbox Ones out there, than 360’s/Original at the time previous releases.

OP was also on Normal… You could literally run through the entire campaign on normal and not die.
I also hate how people assume someone’s current gamertag has been their only one. I’ve been playing this game since CE launched, but got a new gamertag with my Xbox One. Don’t be so quick to assume something.

P1=> Halo 1 story was WAY longer. Even if you ran (not sprinted) through everything you could never beat it as fast as halo 5. Hell just the 1st control room mission would take you longer than 3 missions on halo 5. Halo 2 and 3 still had a story. You were doing something in the grand picture unlike halo 5 were you spend the whole time chasing something and making no different on the overall outcome of the story. Its like indiana jones and the lost ark. nothing would have been different if he hadn’t shown up. part of this is opinion for sure but I think its a fact that this game has WAY less content than all the previous halos. I feel like I bought destiny again, a more advance beta release of a game.
P2=> Breakout, although a good gametype is terrible IMO, the maps are so bad that Id expect to see them in a early 2000s game. Aside from complete lack of detail maps are WAY to small. Im not saying we need a huge map but its pretty much a run straight ahead into the other team.

That’s literally why I put (Assuming) but great comprehension skills. I was also assuming we were talking about Normal, as you no the Normal difficulty people play on. You can look up the statistics on average completion on normal. The original games had longer campaigns that’s all there is to it.

The Classic Halo Arena style IS Arena based (aside from a few large maps obviously).

Give me an example. The only mishandling here is that they aren’t good with release dates. And everybody leaving was all those people who, like you, like to think they’re better than everyone else and got mad that sprint was in the game and that the game wasn’t the exact same thing as Halo 2.5.

Halo 5 is better than most Halo games so far. And it’s weird, not having college everyday because I can choose my classes. And lol, I don’t need a time machine. I’ve been playing Halo since it first came out back in 01.
