My friend has been trying to try out halo 5 while it is free, but it is saying it costs 35 dollars for him. I have been digging around and people have been saying it’s because of the preview program. any help?

He checked and it says 35 dollars, I also made an alt and it says the same
Does he have Xbox Live Gold at the moment? You need to have Gold in order to play for free for the week. I imagine it should work with a XBL trial code, but I’m not 100% on that

yeah he does, maybe its a bug and 343 might fix it? other people on twitter and reddit have the same problem
Just seen some tweets from Aaron Greenberg - looks like there were some issues for Preview members that should have just been resolved. Shouldn’t be too much longer before everyone has access then I imagine.
I have this same problem here (I’m preview member). I can’t activate download before buy.
