Before I even begin, this is for people who didn’t like the campaign. If you did, that’s great, I’m happy for you. For the rest of us, what are the chances of making halo 5 non-canon? If the vast majority of us really don’t like the campaign, and I suspect that I’m right, maybe we could push for a complete do over. Halo 6 is in its fetal stage right now, this is when we could have the most influence on the rough direction of the story.
Bare minimum, we could let 343 know where we would prefer the story to go this time around. I don’t think that making an entry in the franchise noncannon has ever been done before. There are quite alot of reasons why, and we can discuss, but I wanted to keep the first entry somewhat short. What do you guys think?

So you think the writers are going to try to salvage the story that’s there? My opinion is that halo 5 was not well written, and halo 6, even if it has a better team of writers, can only suffer for trying to pick up the peices.
I mean, obviously, I’m aware of the near impossibility of this, but a guy can dream. To be a fly on the wall in this story meetings. We know we can’t trust marketing either, so it’s going to be up in the air in till it releases in 3 years.

You spelled non-canon wrong.
Grammar set aside, what would take Halo 5’s place? Halo 6 would just come out of no where with the events of Halo 5 not being canon. It simply wouldn’t work or make sense to make a key entry into the universe non-canon.
Grammer fixed. It has the potential to make sense if they stop numbering the entries. I know that was mentioned as a future plan anyway.
