Is halo 5 update this friday? i heard it was or a community update or something?
There will most likely be a CU this Friday detailing the update; name, REQ sheet, livesteam date and all that fun stuff, but don’t expect it to release. They’d never release an update without hyping it up first.

Do you have any idea of what else we’ll be getting in this update, aside from what’s already confirmed?
There is a community update every Friday night around 8 central time. This is just a “news” article dropped here on waypoint to give us the information for what they are doing and what they want to tell us this week.

Please note the term around is used very lightly, we’ve had them as late as 10:30 CST

Yeah, around is definite a broad term for the time haha

No idea yet, aside from the obvious that was already revealed.
I do not think the update will be this week for the game. There is usually a release of what they are going to include in the update a week before the update is released, that may be what is coming Friday.

I hope we get more info this Friday. I am starting to chomp at the bit for some new content.
To be honest, lets be careful about hyping ourselves up too much. I think that while the update could be next week, sometimes they would also tease the update in one CU with a partial REQ sheet or some REQS and/or a preview of a new function one week and THEN would take the next week CU to do the full REQ sheet and discuss the update and then a livestream.
Do I hope its next week and we get the full breakdown this CU? Yes. However, they might pad it out an extra week to bring the hype closer to Christmas/Christmas Break time.
Don’t the actual updates come out on Tuesday or something

This week-REQ sheet (partially revealed)
Next Friday-Full reveal/information
Dec 14th (or later, usually a Wednesday)-Update is released

Go to the News tab on top of the page and a list comes down and it says “Halo Community Update”

You can find it under the news section : https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/newsGets released every Friday (or nearly every Friday) - usually gets tweeted out by a few folk, or just watch for somebody making a topic here
I hope this update consolidates all the req variations… It’s so stupid to have to scroll through what feels like hours to get to a req.

I don’t care for the hype tactic it doesn’t really work on me. I’d rather they just announce it fully with the date. Its like teaser trailers with movies I don’t see the point.
