Halo 5 is undoubtedly going to be on the Next Gen Console.
Don’t you think its a little -Yoink!- that Halo 4, the start of the new trilogy is not on the brand New Xbox?
I know they are going to make it so Xbox 360 discs can play in the 720 but I think it would of been cooler if it was announced at the start of the trilogy.

They confirmed that there will be be expanding the Halo universe in other forms of games, so I think they will make a Halo Wars 2. (hope its better than starcraft 2)
I hope they spend a lot of time on those other games and make them just as good as the Reclaimer Trilogy.
I see what you’re saying, but I don’t think we’re losing out just because Halo 4 is on the 360. I think this generation is still capable of so much more, thus I don’t think we’re missing out on too much.

Basically, there are no current plans for Halo Wars 2 and other spin off games right now, but it is very likely that 343i will be announcing such games some time in the future; I’d wager once they’re done with Halo 4.

That’s 2 games per console. I think that’s sounds pretty good. If Halo 4 is supposedly maxing out the 360’s power, then Halo 5 would end up being a Halo 4 clone just w/ a new campaign and maps. I don’t want that to happen. Halo 4 should be the 360’s farewell.

Your logic is flawed (no offense ). Halo 4 is not just the start of the new trilogy, but also the… how to put it? Introduction of a new studio. Halo 4 is supposed to set new path of the Halo universe.
Halo 5 will be one of the major launch titles of the next Xbox (in other words, one of the reasons you should go for the next generation). And if Halo 4 will have a good start, more people will want to have Halo 5 and of course, the new Xbox.
Halo 3 had a very strong base from Halo 1 and 2 and that’s why it was such a successful launch title. If Halo 4 was the launch title, many people would be doubtful (just as they are now).
This is also why I believe Halo 4 will be good. Microsoft NEEDS it to be good. Halo 3 is often called “the game that sold the Xbox” (rightfully. Even for me, Halo was the main reason why I bought the X360 and H3 was the first game I bought) and Microsoft needs Halo 5 to be the same.
That also makes me believe that H4 will have very nastily opened ending.
I see nothing wrong with it. 360 is an ancient hardware but good optimization makes graphics in modern games look very decent. Needless to say that if Halo 4 succeeds, Halo 5 will be a much better incentive to purchase the new console.

0 chances of this unless it’s on PC or nextgen console has keyboard+mouse support. So pretty much impossible.

I hope not. For once I’d like to enjoy all 3 original Halo games on the same console. Even the back-compatible Xbox version of Halo 2 has some issues running on the 360.
Still, an HD online-compatible Halo 2 port wouldn’t be a bad launch title.
I think its great that they are developing Halo 4 for the 360, and Halo 5 and 6 on next gen. It is a great way to showcase their developing skills as a studio. Halo 4 looks absolutely breathtaking on the 360, as they are pushing it to its absolute limits. I can only imagine what the next two instalments will look like on next Gen.
