Hi all,
so I´ve finally have the time to start get my Warzone Firefight going on, but unfortunately I just cannot install the update. Every time I try to start up Guardians, the game seems to launch but then blacks out and goes to the update screen where it says it´s preparing the update. But after 30 seconds or so, it prompts an error message saying
´Halo 5 Guardians needs an update, but something went wrong…´
Now. I´ve tried everything I could think off.
- Restarted the console - Restarted the power cycle - hard reset, multiple times - Uninstalled and reinstalled Halo Guardians - Get the power chord out for 30 seconds or longer, and plug it back inNothing seems to work. Is there something else I can do?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Maybe try resetting your router? Xbox reset is my go to, but you’ve already done that. Also try posting this on the support forum.
got exactly the same issue here, tried empty my cache, change DNS settings, reset xbox and routers, all not working…
anyone got an idea to fix this

I will mate, just reinstalled it as well and still no luck… not a good start of the game for me as I just got it this morning… everything else works fine (just played another game to make sure that it wasn’t the xbox…)

It might be a general problem, I see others having the same issue. So hopefully, it’s not our hardware/software/connection thats the problem, but something that is out of our hands.
Fixed it, I had my profile set to “appear offline” and set it to “appear online”
For those with this problem, simply scroll down to “Go offline” in the failed update screen. Then, head over to Settings > Network and choose to “Go online”.
now updating 41GB !

Currently updating! @Dutchy, I don’t think that what you did solved it, but I figure Microsoft just happened to have fixed the problem just now. I was about to use your method, but I tried once more anyways and it finally promted the download! Great to see them solving this so rapidly though.
