So. . . I got in early to the beta. That first open week before Christmas and I’ve been holding it deep inside things I just can’t hide any more. . . 343 I’m very close to losing all respect for a company that called themselves for Halo by Halo to go as so far as to name themselves after an iconic halo character. It’s disheartening, I mean I talked you guys up before halo 4 saying it won’t be another reach.
Now playing this beta it just goes to show bad habits don’t die easily. First I’d like to say that descope being replaced is a great step in the right direction, and of the powers added I think the climb feature feels like a great addition and might work really well if sprint and the god awful buttslam are removed, but here’s where I think things turn sour…
1 high -Yoink- factor is too damn high. The voices as an additional feature to the maps makes me feel like I should go spank my frats bros at my shin dig as we talk about breasts and other female appendages in which we enjoy when really all we want to do is get in bed with each other. The voices have got to go. For the last time this isn’t call of Duty… this is halo… stop adding these things.
2 HIGH -Yoink- FACTOR IS TOO DAMN HIGH. Additional to the voices calling out places that should be the person who’s playings job, there’s the Victory screen. Win or lose I hate it. I don’t want to see my spartan stand there like a tool fist bumping or slapping other spartan butts with a good game attitude. I think perhaps an mvp at the end with a pose of their choice is a good idea but omg if I have to sit there and watch my spartan act like a total -Yoink- I’m going to cut my dink off.
3 the true aim system. Look don’t insult us just get rid of any zoom down scope. You said yourself just play the beta first before you say you don’t like it. . . Well I hate it. So please get rid of it.
4 finally AR and SMG need a major nerf. Pistol a we bit too weak and BR is kinda a joke. And what the hell is with the sword. Why change the way that looks? If you do the same thing that you did to the elites and grunts by changing the way they sounded and looked now to match the weapons… well I think halo 5 will be the last halo game I’ll ever buy.
