Hey guys, I’m back again with version 2 of my survey. I’ve made a lot of improvements and added a lot more questions which have a greater focus on the gameplay mechanics of Halo 5 and how you feel about them. Link to the survey is below.

After getting 250+ responses on my previous survey it would be great to get 500+. Will post results in a few days.

This time around a majority of people voted for the removal of sprint and it is clear that thruster is loved by the majority of the halo community. Furthermore, those who voted felt that the additions to made the game more accessible and decreased the skill gap in Halo 5. A more surprising result is that 44% of the 463 voters find the game less fun/enjoyable in comparison to previous Halos.

On a final note, I’m sure we could get way more responses than the 463 received for this survey. If you didn’t take part please give it a go the next time around. More responses increases the accuracy of the results.

Thanks to those who responded. Will have a final survey at the end of the beta, with further questions added. Suggestions for questions or question options are appreciated.

I’ve left the survey open for more responses and if it gets a high number of additional responses I’ll provide an update to the results.

Honestly, if we can get as many people doing this as possible, it will show how many people want what, and maybe we can compromise. Also this would be something that 343i might see especially, because I think OP also did/is doing this on reddit?

Nope, think you ask pretty good questions to be honest, you addressed all the new things,and the old things some people may want!

Thanks man. I would hope that 343 does somehow see this and similar surveys. Maybe they can do one themselves.

Well done OP, 343 should definitely think about doing an official poll like this, you should also add a question about what everyone’s favourite map is.

Nice poll but some of the questions had very limited options like:

  1. Take it out
  2. Like Halo 2
  3. Like Halo 3

What about “Keep it” or “tweak it” or a “Like Reach” or a few other logical options?

Polls like this cannot accurately represent the general halo population. 98% of the community doesn’t use the forums, reddit, or any other Halo website. Most people on those websites are people that have been with Halo for a long time, and of course they hate to see it change. I’m willing to bet if 343 put a poll on the Halo 5 beta menu, most people would be fine with sprint.

I just hope 343 sees this so they can finally see how many people hate sprint and ads.
