So, do I just not know what I’m doing when navigating the menu, or is it just such a colossal failure of a menu?
I can’t see gamertags, all I see are emblems. I don’t know who is talking through their mic, who’s on what team, or any real relevant information. The things I like to do in a pregame lobby is check rank, service record, and if someone is spamming the mic, to mute them. I don’t think I can do any of that as is.
Why was the multiplayer menu ever changed from Reach? That was the perfect iteration.
Yeah, it’s universally poor. At least Halo 4 let you see Spartan stances, in this, what’s the point if you’re never going to see them? Reach was literally perfect in every way, it was elegant, unintrusive, subtle, but still gave you all the info you needed to know.

I just don’t understand how anybody could think it was a good idea. And you’re completely right, what’s the point of stances then? Sure I’m super excited I just got an ultra-rare stance…but you have to dig really hard to look at it.

Reach is universally regarded as the worst Halo, by old school players. Though H4 and H5 are aggressively competing for the title as well.
yeah the UI is very clunky. I’ve had several instances that I keep flip-flopping menus in order to do something and realize I’m going to the same menu multiple times.

Right, and I don’t think there’s any real way to just back out to the multiplayer menu. Like say I picked the wrong thing, be it Warzone, Arena, or even SWAT, it gives me a loading screen the whole way back to the main menu, not to where I just came from.
