Halo 5 movement is chaotic

Hi! Finally got my casual hands on the Halo 5 Guardians beta and i gotta say I wasn’t to impressed. I had low expectations to begin with and unfornately they were right. I kind of like the gunplay, powerweaponplay, maps and the low autoaim but my biggest problem was the movement and way to fast killtimes. I guess the fast killtimes has to do with the insanely fast movementspeed and thrusterpacks. But from what i found out is that sprint and especially thrusterpacks dont fit in in Halo. Everytime someone throws a granade is is close to getting killed they just thrust in cover and run away to get thier shields back. I do that and others do that aswell. And that is not how Halo is supposed to be. Well placed granades, gunplay and map control used to be the key to win in Halo but with these movement options they are being more or less eliminated. It’s more like’’ Oh, a granade, thrust back or run away’’, in past halos you were a dead man if you saw a granade next to you. And now with clamber and ultra fast movement options map control is not that vital anymore, you can almost get to a point on the map from any other point of the map superfast. And where are the skill jumps? To sum it up i think Halo 5 Guardians so far is a chaotic mess, everyone is literally flying around the map and are all over the place. And please take away that hitmarker sound, i wanna hear the guns not that noice!

Get rid of sprint and thrusterpacks and nerf clamber so skill cruchjumps are more vital than like the now overpowered clamber.

Btw i like some things in the game like sound effects and weapon design (Not BR and Rocket Launcer) and the maps have a lot of potential to be like the good old Chill Out, Midship and Guardian. With the right movement they are close to these maps imo. Im happy to see fair starts again aswell!

Please 343 fix the movement and this will be a great game!

I hate it when people complain that sprint and thruster pack don’t belong in. Halo because it keeps them from killing anyone. I don’t have this problem. My grenades work just fine, if somebody sprints away, I just chase them and kill them because they’re not getting their shield back, and only once in a while do I miss a killing shot because someone evaded with thrusters.

I’m not going to say “git gud” like all those stuck-up elitists do, but…I don’t know. Maybe you’re just doing something wrong?

Im far away from a pro and ‘‘elitist’’ but im not very fond of the new movement additions and I gave my constructive feedback :slight_smile: I hope Halo 5 will be a huge success but as of it now I will buy it for the campaign and then play Halo MCC for multiplayer. But I need to play more but as of now im a bit sceptical about the game and I hope they read all the feedback from all of us and make the most of it. Thats why they have the forum :smiley:

I especially like the “just got to play” people and this is what needs to be done…blah blah blah. Go play the game and I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking… Too many b!tchers.
