Literally one in every 3 matches is a 3 on 4 because someone leaves right at the start and is NOT PUNISHED FOR IT. Literally the punishment for doing this is pretty negligable and there are a ton of people who play the game so have fun losing games that are stacked against you.

Actually, there is punishment for quitters. After so many quits they’ll get banned from matchmaking.
Guess what? It will be like this until BTB, Team Snipers, Action Sack, Doubles, and at least 5 more quality 4v4 maps are delivered and implemented into this game. You can ban the hell out of everyone you want, but until/unless 343 provides everyone with a more complete product, banning people only guarantees H5 a lower number of online players once the full experience finally arrives. Please stop begging 343 to ban your fellow halo fans when the root cause of rampant quitting is 343 not delivering to begin with!!!

^ Yeah, I think it mostly comes down to the paltry map selection. Just last night I played a game on Orion and I couldn’t find my team about 10 seconds in. Turns out I was left in a freakin’ 1v4 for an entire match.
I won, and I’m proud of that, but I can’t handle playing 2v4’s and 3v2’s every other game because players don’t wanna play the same 6 or so similarly-designed maps. That 1v4 wrecked my K/D and I apparently got stuck in Gold because of it.
The map selection is poor for right now as well as the map rotations. My friends and I were play SWAT yesterday and we played on Orion 4 times in a row… kinda irritating.

Extremely frustrating, have had multiple quitters in many placement games as the game starts before anything even happens. And a few more after they died one time.
Unfortunately there always has been and always and there always will be quitters. Punishment is a reactive solution to quitting. Because there is no proactive way to prevent quitters, and there is no Punishment severe enough to deter quitters, it will always be a problem

People are punished for leaving. Avoid quitters by advancing to the higher brackets and run with a 4 person team.

There will be quitters no matter what, it’s unavoidable in any multiplayer game and the only way to get them to stop ruining other players matches is by making quitting pointless through bans (Why quit just to have to wait till at least the matches end, doing nothing, when you could be playing?). That aside if you don’t like whats in the playlist enough to quit, why play it? How will anymore playlists stop people from making the same exact choices?
343 can’t ship the rest of the game because it is not ready. The Master Chief Collection and the outrage it caused when it was released in a less than optimal state ensured that we would have to wait. Even if it was released right now, in a perfect state, it would do absolutely nothing to stop quitters.

And only play Free For All if you like to get spawn-killed & most of your kills stolen lol. That game type is horrid (used to be my fav in some of the previous games).

You are punished for it,
I find a person leaving often doesn’t matter, If a skilled player leaves, yeah, that sucks, but if a terrible one does, you’re actually at a better advantage, one less terrible person to feed kills to the other team…But if your a solo player, it’s all luck of the draw anyway, You can lose with 3 terrible teammates or win with 2 good ones.
The should lose more than just one rank. More like a bracket down if they quit a match.
it is a serious problem i feel like it is every other game if not EVERY game!!! not even joking!
When people get a map they don’t like, they quit. The REAL question is why there’s no -Yoink- map vetoing. Anything to stop us from playing Swatnums on Pegasus for the 5th time.
I know this is a SWAT example in a Breakout-related post, but it proves the point.
